Favicons and Avatars

Disqus provides several special endpoints that act as permalinks (and respond with 302 redirects) for dynamic images served up through the API.

Favicons for a forum (based on it's shortname) can be generated using the following URL:

https://disqus.com/api/forums/favicons/{forum_shortname}.jpg

Avatars for registered users can be generated using the following URL:

https://disqus.com/api/users/avatars/{username}.jpg
