This is an awesome response to a hard situation. I am one that has been hurt by what has happened and how it brings up demons of race from that past. I am glad that I am part of a body of believers who are called to prayer no matter the situation.

Amen, Brother, well said.

Wonderful article. John 4:35 says, Say ye not, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, for they are white already to harvest. Four months to harvest would've put this saying around this time of year. Brother Matthew Henry says this event happened around Thanksgiving time. Harvesting officially began at First Fruits 4 months later in the Spring. So it seems like we may be entering a timeframe similar to when our Lord said those things.

Then in verses 39 through 43 we see the Revival that took place just as our Savior said, glory to God!

I believe God wants to manifest Himself in this Ferguson/STL area. People are looking for answers and Love has them. The remedy is the Cross and the joy that follows. Genesis 1:2 was a time of darkness but God moved and there was light! Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness... Ps 112:4. They that walked in darkness have seen a great light... Isaiah 9:2.

My point in sharing all this is to say, Let's not dwell on the darkness but instead run to the Light! God fears no darkness and has oftentimes used the dark times as a jeweler would a dark cloth to show off the glorious Light of His Son in Revival. PRAY ON, dear Family, until He rends the Heavens and comes down!

Excellent reply and I so agree with you. We must pray as suggested.

Why did so many pastors meet inside to pray and not go outside where they were needed? The people with so much anger needed to have the message of peace brought to them. Yes some would not have listened but God said in his would that the evil will fall before God. They had the armor of God to stand strong and safe.We as Christians do not have the option to choose to do what is safe and easy. It wasn't easy for Christ to choose to go to the cross.

Maybe that is Step two... Pray outside with people. Let's pray wherever we are that we obey God so that as we lift Him the would draw people to Himself.
