Congratulations! The rioters and terrorists scores another victory as their violent means forces more Jews off the Mount! What en excellent message this measure is to them!

1Robert • 8 years ago

All access to the al-Aksa mosque should be closed off. No one in as long as riots continue. Muslims should lose their right to worship in that mosque as long as they riot and sin against GOD.

Dan • 8 years ago

It's wonderful to see the Arab MKs who have tried to incite violence and hatred on the Temple Mount, particularly MK Zahalka and MK Tibi, barred from entering the Temple Mount. Now that they have been barred, hopefully calmer heads will prevail among their fellow Palestinians.

cirvic • 8 years ago

They shouldn't be barred, they should be jailed! Didn't they have to swear an oath when starting to serve as MK? If so this should be ground enough to prosecute them for aiding an enemy entity against the country they supposedly represent!. If there is no oath of office, is high time to instill one.
There is no country on this planet where an elected politician can support and encourage the enemies of the country and hide behind parliamentary immunity.

Ban all Muslims and there will be no violence whatsoever. The Islamofascists commit 100% of the attacks.

The archeology is still going on right now and findings are being documented as we speak. So don't show yourself the fool before we know all the facts as it says in Proverbs. 18:13.

Pandering to fringe ultra-Zionists will only get you so much political capital, and as PM you are directly responsible for the counterproductive consequences. Netanyahu can ill afford to be the extremists he was before joining the government and becoming PM.

Prodigenous • 8 years ago

Netanyahu:
Can you let us have the exact figures of how many rockets were fired at Jerusalem last year, how many were intercepted by Iron Dome?
Can you state publicly exactly who is really "defending Al Aksa" ?
Can you publicly ask how Al Aksa will be defended from Iran's repeated threats to this area?

Someone from the Temple Institute wrote:

"As someone who experiences this regularly, I do not find confrontation with these Muslim agitators to be frightening or even the least bit disturbing. On the contrary, I believe this phenomena is a sign that the Muslims themselves know that their days of domination on the Temple Mount are numbered.
They scream when we ascend the Mount because they know that the master of the house is coming home!"

Amen!

Can the smart people of Israel not try, somehow to find a different way to live? I know the Palestinians have to play their part too but surely there is a better way to live. Does it have to be this way forever? Couples being stabbed, terror attacks, fear of violence at any time, perpetual war.

Can the smart people of Israel even bring themselves to imagine a different world?

neversink • 8 years ago

The smart people of Israel are the ones who are getting stabbed. This will only end when the Palestinians admit that they are occupiers and when Islam has a reformation and officially condemns all violence. Do you ever hear any Muslims condemning any terror attacks around the world. It is very rare.

Chim Aaron • 8 years ago

Are you prepared to wait 5,000 years, which is how long it may take for Islam to reform itself?

william allan • 8 years ago

it looks like Russia is going to control the ME,and China wants a piece of it to, a world war is close to start, so it will only be a few years

Chief Mac • 8 years ago

Islam cannot reform - so it must be banned

Chim Aaron • 8 years ago

Obviously that's unrealistic. Banned by who? Where? And how do you enforce such a ban? Banning of a religion is undemocratic. It's only done in countries like Communist China etc.

Chief Mac • 8 years ago

Every country that isn't Muslim. It incites genocide and that is an international war crime.

Islam is not a religion - it is a hate cult

Prodigenous • 8 years ago

This caving in to extortion will change when mosques are built on the grounds of churches and cathedrals and demands are made that Christians be banned from these holy Muslim sites. Arab leaders will decry the Christian visitors with their "dirty feet" changing the status quo by praying.
Or, maybe the Christians too will cave in.

David • 8 years ago

Appeasement never works with these people. we will show them strength or we will invite more terror. there is no middle ground.

Dr. Howard • 8 years ago

It's not about clashes. It's about arab attacks and police responding.

It's a struggle to keep all places in Israel free to visit by any religious person of any religion just like any western country.

The arabs want to deny free access and create an apartheid situation with Jews being discriminated against. It ain't gonna happen.

neversink • 8 years ago

I am starting to lose faith in Netanyahu. I am afraid he either doesn't have the guts anymore or he is doing as Obama tells him. It's time to rid Israel of troublemakers and take back the land. The world doesn't care one bit about China moving into Tibet and occupying a whole country. This is Israel. The land of the Jews. And it is being occupied by Arabs who have dozens of other countries to live in. Take back Israel, Mr. Netanyahu.

rachel • 8 years ago

Joint list Arabs are going to defy the order and ascend the Temple Mount on this Friday. I say either put them into protective custody before Friday or collect them as the descend. This is ridiculous.

Prodigenous • 8 years ago

Changing the "status quo".
Will Netanyahu ban the illegal excavating of the Temple Mount by Arabs?
Thousands of tons of earth have been removed in four hundred trucks and dumped in a garbage site outside the Old City of Jerusalem.
Archaeologists and thousands of volunteers sifting through this ancient rubble have already uncovered scores of artifacts clearly demonstrating the three thousand year old Jewish connection to this holy site. That is why they were removed.
This is the very definition of "changing the status quo".

Mark-of-Lewiston • 8 years ago

Do you want the Templar Treasure returned, too?

Rafibez • 8 years ago

That's your best response to what has been described by world-class archaeologists as the greatest archaeological crime of all time?
It is not "treasure" in monetary form that we are concerned about.
If that were the case, the Arabs wold not be throwing it away. It is the loss of artifacts, (many of which are being recovered, damaged by Arab bulldozers) that clearly relate to Jewish life at this site.
That is the reason why this is "offensive" to those denying Jewish history.

David • 8 years ago

the templars were a pack of drunken european knights with no more of a right to anything in israel than the mongols. your comparison is laughable

Mark-of-Lewiston • 8 years ago

If you want it, tell the French. Their king killed off the Templars to get the treasure.

David • 8 years ago

I don't want your f*cking treasure. I want useful idiots like you to face reality and stop condemning us for existing here.

Mark-of-Lewiston • 8 years ago

I'm not one condemning your existence. But I am one who thinks treaties should be kept. Treaties are the word of a country and should not be tossed out at whim. You want sovereignty, offer Jordan something tangible for it. Just violating a treaty because it feels good is a way to get lots of people killed.

David • 8 years ago

The "treaty" in question are the Oslo accords - the ones violated consistently and systematically by every PA administration since they were signed. while the PA teaches school children of the glories of jihad and martyrdom, names streets and squares after suicide bombers and pays convicted terrorists generous stipends, people like you prefer to just look the other way until at some breaking point that inevitably comes around every few years we respond with some measure of force - and then you place us under a microscope as if all was fine and dandy until one morning we woke up and decided to scalp the pallies for kicks. in ignoring our side of the argument and their side of the violence you are in effect abetting it and implicitly supporting the claims against our moral right to be here.

Prodigenous • 8 years ago

Is it within the "treaty" to allow Arabs to cart of twenty thousand tons containing countless Jewish artifacts?
And don't bother to reply with your silly reference to Templars.
And stop calling it a "treaty".
Jordan attacked Israel. They were roundly defeated. The holy places of Jerusalem were protected, especially the Churches. Five hundred Jewish boys gave their lives protecting them. An areal bombardment cold have taken the city without such losses in hand to hand fighting - but the old buildings were spared at huge cost in Jewish lives.
AFTER all that the aggressors were gifted control of the Temple Mount in an act of unprecedented magnanimity and astounding stupidity, by Moshe dayan, Israels defense minister - who two weeks earlier came out of retirement.

Mark-of-Lewiston • 8 years ago

The move is long overdue. And Netanyahu spending the last several months not addressing concerns of Israeli and Jordanian Muslims has been pouring gasoline on a lit fire. Israel signed a treaty guaranteeing certain controls and rights and cannot unilaterally change the treaty without abrogating it.

Netanyahu should now address all Israelis directly, with simulcast in Arabic to state a single policy in adherence to the already signed and ratified treaty. Adding fuel to a conflagration is maybe interesting politics, but not a formula for reaching of maintaining peace.

Chief Mac • 8 years ago

Foreign racists like you have no say in the matter. Shut the fvck up already stupid

Prodigenous • 8 years ago

Israel never agreed that no Jews can visit and pray on the temple Mount.
No Israeli government ever gave permission for fire-bombs and other weapons to be stored in any mosque.
The government of Israel never abdicated its authority to maintain law and order over every centimeter of the country.
To regard as "pouring gasoline on a lit fire" the rights of Jews to visit the Jewish Temple Mount, is to cravenly cave in to the racists demands of Muslim extremists who have no concept of tolerance.
Your posts warm their hearts.

This abysmal, cringing, shtetl-minded govt is an affront to all G-d fearing Jews, an affront to HaShem Himself. I am disgusted by this nonsensical act of cowardice. If we Jews cannot go to our holiest site - and pray there - then no one should be allowed there. The Temple Mount should be closed to all. Period.

Peter Jay Altschuler • 8 years ago

Good move but he should have done this much sooner!

N.L. Shriber • 8 years ago

The people who need to be barred from Har ha-Bait (Temple Mount) are Arab List MKs and members of the Islamic Movement, both of whom are at the center of stirring up lawlessness and violent riots.

And, meantime, in addition to try and quell the riots, we must consider the following:

We sanctify life and construction. They sanctify death and destruction.

We ought to continue to celebrate life in our homeland and everywhere else.

The way to do so is to outlaw the Islamist Movement, the PLO and all of its affiliated organizations, e.g. Fatah, PFLP, and ship their leaders back to Tunis from where they came to Israel in 1994 based on treaties that they have violated multiple times; to apply Israeli law over Area C of Samaria, Judea and the Jordan Valley (presently under Israeli civilian and security control); and to begin construction of a new Hebrew city in the Jordan Valley between Jericho and Beit Shan and in the E1 part of Area C at Mevasert Adumim east of Jerusalem. This would be the proper Jewish response to those who worship death and destruction.

Mark-of-Lewiston • 8 years ago

Your formula would get a lot of Israelis and Palestinians killed and keep the deaths coming for another century. It would also convince Jordan that you no longer want a peaceful relationship with them either. Repeating the mistakes the Zealots made did to Jews with the revolt against the Romans? Was that, too a great idea?

N.L. Shriber • 8 years ago

Killing by Arabs is sanctified. They do it all the times. We celebrate life.

This is the situation when Jerusalem is under Israel's control.

No one should kid themselves, if Jerusalem is divided in some deal, notwithstanding all the assurances that Jewish holy sites will be accessible, they will not be. All will revert to the status of pre-67.

rachel • 8 years ago

People are still alive who know what it was like BEFORE 67. A reversion to the armistice lines and cease fire lines is PUT of the questions. ANYONE who says they "only want pretty 67 lines and east Jerusalem" is buying the GREAT BIG LIE.
Look at the map of their fallaciesa is EXACTLY covers modern Israel! Make no mistake it is a war of elimination.
Muslims eliminating ALL of the Jewish state.
