Another superb review. Watercolor backgrounds are nice. Aside from the asses, that was one of the things that stood out to me in Hai to Gensou no Grimgar. Is Anne Happy anything like Yuru Yuri? Yuru Yuri is one of my favorite moe-comedies.

I agree. Great to see some AIKa stitches too.

I noticed something unique about this anime. Although the show is basically nonstop panty shots, panties themselves are rarely acknowledged in the story or dialogue. There's no one shouting "I can see your panties!", or girls constantly screaming in embarrassment and pulling their skirts down.

I only watched S1 Yuri Yuri and it had a different vibe from what I recall. Different comedic triggers. The main thing about Anne-Happy besides the artwork is that it's a slice-of-life with moe girls that isn't afraid to sexualize them a little bit unlike most moe sol shows that seem to try to be as moe as possible and as little ecchi as possible which makes them a lot more boring imho.

That sounds interesting. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try a couple episodes. Thanks.
