I would not worry Diana. I have only read a couple of your posts, but it seems that you use good grammar, fully developed sentences, punctuation, and a good sense of humor. You will be ignored by the vast majority. The way to be noticed is to say something insane and inflammatory, but to do so in a pithy way that breaks as many rules of grammar and spelling as possible.

This is wonderful news! I'm a delicate snowflake and I need a safe space to protect me from opposing points of view.

Now, whenever mean people make me appear foolish by exposing my politically correct nonsense as illogical, I won't even realize it's happening....because they're blocked!

Someone like that isn't taking an opposing point of view, or espousing a different opinion.

Notice how Hugh didn't say anything about liberals. Eleanor made the connection herself, from "delicate snowflake" "foolish" and "insulation from reality", to assume you were talking about liberals. That is like an irony multiplier!

And yes Eleanor, there is plenty of "politically correct nonsense" everywhere, and it doesn't take a troll to bring it up. I know plenty of liberals who are highly offended at opposing viewpoints, cannot engage in a rational discussion without losing their minds and resorting to calling names when they feel that the safety of their ideological bubble is being challenged.

Agree - her comment is risible in its contradictions. I'm not blocking her as, even though she is intolerant of other people's points of view, crashing through differing opinions in her one-way vision of how the world should be, I am still interested in a different perspective and prepared to listen/read it. Unlike her. As they say, there's none so strange as folk.

Hey there, Jen -- As I said to Bosunj above, I was revisiting the thread and didn't realize I had some replies to my post. So, I just wanted to say "thanks" for replying. And as for this new feature or blocking Eleanor, I'm not planning to block anyone myself -- at least not to start or that I can think of. Basically because then I'd feel like a hypocrite since I'm a big free speech advocate. So, I'm willing to let people blather on... and I'm free to ignore it. Besides, if I couldn't see ALL of the posts in a thread, I might miss something interesting or fun even if it came from someone on the opposing side of the aisle. Other than that, hope you're having a great day!
