No, I don't have to explain it. New York City cops will shoot to kill if someone will attack them with a knife. We've seen cases of that. That is a risk that the attacker must take into account. They don't check the person's ethnicity first. Why should Israel be held to a higher standard than the NYC police force?

Police are not trained to shoot arms and legs. On a moving target it is nearly impossible to hit such a small area and with a firearm projecting a bullet up to 2000 feet per second if they miss they could hit someone standing behind the target. Police are trained to shoot a large area such as torso. Also under 20 feet, a knife is deadlier than a pistol. This kid should not have been on the street with a knife stabbing people and then attacking police. He got what he deserved.
