I have been blocked by ABC it says but I can't find anywhere to go to find out why. I have seen far worse posts than mine but I can't post on anything even with different e addresses. How can that be. I guess serving in the military to try and protect freedom of speech really doesn't matter if someone doesn't like what you say.

I am currently blocked by ABC ... I assume someone got ticked and flagged 6 of my comments in a row . I have sent them emails , but they refuse to respond . My comments were so sanitary you could eat off them .

I am also now blocked....Guess i ticked off a moderator.....

That happened to me at XO Jane and the moderator lied to me and said that I was not blocked because the women ganged up on me on the one article. She also said that they would never reconsider reinstating someone that had been blocked.

Same here. Why am I being blocked? I have NEVER said anything bad at all. I see people posting really nasty comments, and they aren't blocked.

They are trolling for people whose views are against what they want the mainstream to say. Even if they allow some similar views those people may be there to encourage you to express yourself, and then they are determining who their "enemies" are. Making a list, checking it twice, gonna find out whose naughty or nice, Big Brother is coming to town.. Guess I am right cause tried to post this in response to someone like Pete/Ark and they said I cannot post the same thing again. Active little micro thought robots. Just like in the movies. Wish it could talk, I would love to hear it's voice. The key to copying and pasting is to add a few words at the end so it does not look identical to your previous post. People here all need to consider why we are banned without trying to find blame on yourself.

It is because Disqus is a rubbish site with links that don't work!

I like Mother Jones, or thought I did. But after this experience think I might cancel my subscription. They have a few open articles criticizing the status quo, but are a drag net, just as discus is. I am banned from commenting any article with Disqus, and have no explanation, not entitled to do so. Be careful what you say because they want free thinkers to be silenced, and they do it by banning you and perhaps listing you.

Daniel, Disqus Support. Thanks for responding, but I have tried your suggestion, but there was no way to reach the moderator. I wish Disqus would set some ground rules with these sites. We posters have made Disqus a popular place to respond because of it's very good format, but we need some support, too.

Disqus to take on a role for mediation is one idea.
Also I think improvement of Disqus system would be better.

Exactly! At least an auto email....and sites should be required to have moderators respond to someone banned by mistake. Reading guidelines on "why I can't comment", there was no reason I can see that I was banned.

I, too, have found myself blocked from posting comments on a web site where my comments and beliefs are in line with the founder of that web site!

were you able to contact the moderator I find no matter how I try even following the posted directions ,it is impossible to get a reply.. Is this because of the extreme biased shown by TV3 moderators ??

I'm not sure why I was blocked, I've tried to contact the moderator several of times myself.

Maybe their articles are to troll for people who have the opposing view and can then knock them off from contributing. It is more of a identify our opposition than a serious discussion.

I am working to find an answer ... ABC blocked me after I made the mistake of "fencing" with someone who appears to have flagged each of my clean honest posts , ABC has a "contact us" email but only responds with an automated "we got your email , wait until we get back" ... which they never do . If I find an answer I'll make it public .

Aren't moderators supposed to be objective? If they don't want my comments, fine but I would like to know why.

trying to reply to one of my comments on raw, i was notified i have been blocked. i do try to avoid extremes in profanity, but my snark and sarcasm is often misinterpreted. since disqus says they don't moderate i reached out directly to raw. since that particular comment of mine is still up and it wasn't the only comment i made, i don't know which of mine resulted in the blocking. while, like many here, i can't say i've never said anything derogatory, i do tend to call them as i see them, therefore an idiot always remains an idiot.

There are people who spend their day on the internet trying to control public opinion, or at least the thoughts they want us to all share together in this dying free speech country. They have folks who continue to argue a point trying to get you to "show your cards" and " reply vehemently" out of frustration. They can check off several of your comments as a way to keep your point of view, often the better thought out one, off the site. I notice that they have sections where some comments are several hidden in response to the comment they leave on the main page. Why, to hope others will not see your opposing view. Don't expect free speech you guys, it died with out constitutional rights to privacy, etc. We aren't in Kansas anymore ToTo.

I too have been blocked by raw. No comments have been deleted, so I don't see the connection between non-delete and post blocking. I *did* go on a tirade 4 days ago but seems odd it took this long to catch up to me.

If raw blocked for sarcasm, I'd be blocked at least once a week. Been on Raw since Huff went Facebook. Must be close to 2 yrs now.

Not likely. You have people paid to troll the internet to block comments that they don't find in line with the party line. It is not a free net. Don't expect too much anymore. There are few nets where people speak freely and you never know who you are talking to on these blogs/chat sites. Be careful what you say and how you say it. There is no free speech, just like there is no Santa Claus.

I had 2 out of 3 comments deleted and all I said was that an irate poster was as pathetic as Obama, I got notifications that people had upvoted my comment, but then saw that my comment had been deleted and I can't figure out why.

Why can't I comment? My comments are fine.

Well I will defend the President. 90% of the people that post on there day in and day out tip the President. Oh they do not like that I will defend him and do it with facts. I have made several comments in response to others questions. You might find them of interest. They are controlling the sites we can read and trying to cut off debate and the other side of the story. Look at who owns most of the news media. Google it. You will learn a lot.

They initially tried to block me from copyng and pasting comment to another person but realized if I add a few words to make it not identical that I could repeat. I think this is an intentional effort at thought control. They are trying to identify people who have certain views they do not want shared with the whole of the group and then cut you off, hoping to discourage you forever. They leave the same irritating shills go on and on. It is definitely thought control and you will see more of this. The internet has changed greatly since I started using it in the 90's. There was a lot of information you could find in searches that is not there anymore.

No political comments since it was on a gossip site and didn't use any banned words. I have given up trying to figure out why, given up trying to get it corrected, and given up the site. Dumb gossip sites are a dime a dozen so if I want to waste my time, I'll choose another. However, it's interesting the words you mentioned that are not allowed. "Kiwis" is a fruit here and shipped from Australia and/or New Zealand. Maybe people from there refer themselves as Kiwis. Funny. Glad you didn't get that word banned!
