I believe the word "God" in the phrase "the LORD your God" in Deuteronomy 13 is plural indicating that God exists in more than one person.

This truth is further supported by these verses:

"I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee...Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him." Psalm 2:7,11, 12

If God does not exist in more than one person, these verses would not make sense. It says the LORD has a Son, and we are supposed to kiss the Son and put our trust in him.

If Jesus is the Son mentioned in Psalm 2, then He can't be another god because God tells us to trust the Son. We are told in the Scriptures not to trust in other gods. The Son mentioned in Psalm 2 must be God. The question is who is this Son?

As for me, I believe Jesus is the Son mentioned in Psalm 2, and He is the God mentioned in Deuteronomy 13. This is also what Jesus taught about Himself. Jesus made the following claim: "I and my Father are one."

It is hard for me to understand how God exists in more than one person, but the Scriptures teach it, so I believe it.

I hope the tone of my message doesn't come across the wrong way.

I love the Jewish people because they are God's chosen people. I pray for peace in Jerusalem, and I pray that they will believe in their Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth. I am praying the same for you.

Are you referring to Deuteronomy Chater 13 verse 19? "For you shall hearken to the voice of the Lord your God, to keep all His commandments which I command you this day, to do that which is proper in the eyes of the Lord, your God." Please clarify which verse you are referring to.

While we are in this chapter, I think it is important to read the first section. Deuteronomy - Chapter 13 Verses 1-6

1. Everything I command you that you shall be careful to do it. You shall neither add to it, nor subtract from it. 2. If there will arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of a dream, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, 3. and the sign or the wonder of which he spoke to you happens, [and he] says, "Let us go after other gods which you have not known, and let us worship them," 4. you shall not heed the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of a dream; for the Lord, your God, is testing you, to know whether you really love the Lord, your God, with all your heart and with all your soul. 5. You shall follow the Lord, your God, fear Him, keep His commandments, heed His voice, worship Him, and cleave to Him. 6. And that prophet, or that dreamer of a dream shall be put to death; because he spoke falsehood about the Lord, your God Who brought you out of the land of Egypt, and Who redeemed you from the house of bondage, to lead you astray from the way in which the Lord, your God, commanded you to go; so shall you clear away the evil from your midst.

As for the comment on Psalm Chapter 2, who is the son in Exodus 4:22, Leviticus 25:55?
