Resistance is increasing and we need to let Mr. Toomey know that he has to take the insterests of all Pennsylvanians into account, not just those of his Republican masters. His Facebook page is replete with demands that he vote NO on Bestsy DeVos, but he has made it clear that he will vote for this horribly ill informed person. I am planning to attend a Tuesday's With Toomey for the first time. I was outraged to learn that Toomey's staff refused to answer the phones at all seven of his statewide offices, apparently at his behest, during the two weeks trump has been in office. If someone refuses to listen, then we have to talk (or act) louder.
Keep it up! This is inspiring, especially the positive approach, and the determination to continue until.... Many are behind you, and would join you if they could!
See you next week. #JoiningTWT
Of course he will listen but he is not obligated to act as he also has an obligation to the folks who voted him in and under no circumstances should he engage on sanctuary cities as it's a bad idea. Period. This article is a hack job and more typical of Main Stream Media. I know Larry's view was not to be MSM-like.
The lock-out concerns me. I was under the impression, though I am not an attorney, that the offices of the members of Congress are PUBLIC spaces. We, the taxpayers, pay for those offices, and are entitled to visit them. Having police officers bar entry creates the impression that the City of Philadelphia is colluding with the Senator in barring access to citizens who have a right to free speech and the pursuit of redress of their grievances, whether that pursuit is futile or not. Since when does the Philadelphia police force act as security for a Senator when he or his staff is approached by peaceful citizens?
