Gavin McInnes doesnt understand the difference between left leaning liberal and a far leftist. To say daddy issues is the cause doesnt make sense. All kinds of people with different philosophies has issues with their dad.

You have a new reader. How nice it is to find this site. Great article that explains this virus we have in this country right now.
They haven't won even if it seems they have . Even universities have students openly claiming their disgust about the left don't give up folks. They haven't got all of us so they have not won, and the anger people are showing is more than what our liberal controlled media wants to admit.

Winston • 8 years ago

Brilliant.

Jack Hamilton • 8 years ago

Another dumb article by McInnes. He's gotten so Jewish lately I wonder if McInnes is a fake name to cover his Jewishness.
Liberalism comes from a very wealthy society. Every nation, empire, when it hits extreme wealth becomes very liberal. That's all.
Plenty of societies, times had an absence of fathers. Heck, look at Germany after the 30 years war. You better believe Germany wasn't wealthy after that war.
Kids today, they don't have to work. They can take out hundreds of thousands of dollars out in student loans. Is it their fault or ours?
Allowing these colleges to run amok with liberalism is why we have all of these problems. Most professors and teachers should be sent to the gulag.

rocco pilsner • 8 years ago

Great article from McInnes! More like this please. What most of us understand and some of us still dont get is that the Left HATES McInnes. A white guy who makes sense and isnt ancient, and def is in touch with modern trends and fashions. White men from 18-30's can look at his unapologetic approach to attacking feminism, race, and PC brainwashing as a good example to grow into. Its the combination of traditional family values combined with rock n roll and rebellion and how its ok to be wild (at least in your youth) and still respect marriage and a family that makes Gavin appealing to white youth and detestable to leftist scum proglodytes.

Misanthrope • 8 years ago

Sane people adjust their beliefs to conform to reality. Leftists adjust reality to conform to their beliefs. That's why leftism is a mental illness.

Most Deplorable1 • 8 years ago

Just have to say, that was one very good, thought-provoking article. It really makes a lot of sense, particularly

"Soon you are looking to the outside world to show you what the limits are. You’re ‘acting out’ and hoping society will control you"

Mississippi Truth • 8 years ago

That is a lie! You might not want them to discuss it, but believe me! We want to discuss IT! You want to talk about the destruction of the American family! Newsflash! We want to discuss the destruction of the African Matriarchy, the Female headed Tribes: that was the single most destructive thing that happened to the world! We don't have daddy issues. You have MOMMY iSSUES! Put that damn. I Le down! Get a Dravidian GITA and see the damage you have done! There, angry enough for you! Thanks, I feel better already!

The obvious solution then is to declare every Monday "slap the shit out of a Liberal day."

Johnny Canuck • 8 years ago

I firmly believe that Liberalism is indeed, a mental disorder. There is no explanation for it and they do indulge the repetition of failed policies which is one sure sign of the insanity ... over and over expecting different results ....

Jon • 8 years ago

Vapidness and complacency is their downfall.

Johnny Canuck • 8 years ago

Soooo .... could we establish a "Slap A Liberal Day". It would be fun ... for one day we could legally find a raving Liberal and slap him silly while chanting something from a Charlton Heston Movie like "This damned world is upside down" from the original "Planet Of The Apes" ... I am for that.

I think the problem is that many young people in college are more concerned about who they are than what they do, sort of an extension of adolescent self perception and clique behavior. It's more important to attach yourself to a community than to accomplish a particular goal.

It also involves religious thinking - piety - the pursuit of moral status. Yet the purpose of any kind of status is to elevate yourself above others...which isn't really that moral, from the leftist perspective. But what better way to conceal one's desire to elevate one's self above others than by embracing "equality" as a life purpose? Moral status beats money status or popularity status all to hell.

Civil rights movements and SJW's of the past have have been presented to young people with a religious sort of reverence. These movements are, therefore - like any divine mission - beyond the reach of corruption, in the eyes of young leftists. While Tea Party and conservative movements are (in their view) loaded with ulterior motives like racism, hate and greed, the leftist SJW movements have no ulterior motives. Therefore, there's no need for self-scrutiny, either as an individual or a collective. That thinking accommodates/encourages a blind allegiance. So they never see their need for moral superiority as an ulterior motive. In fact, it's just one of many ulterior motives...but that's a whole other post.

It's so frustrating reading articles like this. I mean, the writer's sentiments are in the right place. But for some reason, the writer just CANNOT bring himself to say the word. Gavin. The word isn't "mental illness". The word isn't "Cry bully" or "daddy issues" or "Frustrated rage". Stop acting like a liberal with all these touchy feely pop psychology analyses. God. You sound like another Doctor Ruth or Timothy Leary. Liberals are indoctrinated useful idiots serving a larger political agenda that has corralled them into activism based on some pretext, justified or not. Their minds are co-opted in ways they don't understand, and in ways conservatives are largely unconcerned wth.

The word is "Divide and Conquer" The word is "Anarchy" The word is "Chaos". The real word is "EVIL".

Sallie J. Parker • 8 years ago

Gavin grew up in an areligious home where they didn't have things like GOOD and EVIL. When you don't have good and evil, all sorts of simple emotions get twisted and reinterpreted. 'Guilt' stops meaning awareness of and regret for wrongdoing and becomes instead 'fear of getting caught.'

Mommy's love is unconditional. No matter what, she will love you.
Daddy's love is not, it has to be earned. That makes all the difference.

Spaghetti • 8 years ago

There are a lot of people from what I've gathered that didn't experience "mommy's unconditional love". I'm not referring to the millions of aborted babies but the countless victims of abuse that mothers are guilty of committing more than fathers actually.

M Aurelius • 8 years ago

It's a generality.

Spaghetti • 8 years ago

Hey hope I didn't sound like I was getting on my high horse Marcus, I just think women enjoy having their asses kissed way too much, generally speaking. Goddamn, the press these people with ovaries get! And people buy it, or are conditioned to act like they do. Bring on the artificial womb and sexbots, conscript females and send our feminist womyn into combat zones.

M Aurelius • 8 years ago

No worries. But I was referring to mom. A whole different creature. Without fathers to temper mom's "can do no wrong" love, kids, especially boys, grow to be monsters. Unless she is a strong, worldly woman. Cheers.

Sallie J. Parker • 8 years ago

For some people, maybe. My own mater's 'love' (if you can call it that) was highly conditional. Be whatever daft thing mommy wants you to be and mommy will love you. That toll was too steep for me.

M Aurelius • 8 years ago

Again, a generality. I'm sorry yours didn't adhere to the norm.

Bardon Kaldian • 8 years ago

Is this true ? Hm..... I think-yes.

M Aurelius • 8 years ago

A stern, yet loving father is the greatest gift a child can have.

Jon • 8 years ago

"We all know that by know." Grammatical error, it should be "now" at the end of the sentence.

Isn't mental illness what the Communists considered all dissenters to the party? Isn't this hypocritical to diagnose the Left as such?

Also, please refrain from using the word "Liberal" to describe the Left. Call them for what they really are, "statists". It is this Orwellian language and mask that has progressed the "Liberals" and their stress of "Liberty" and "individualism" rather than what Leftists actually believe in: Marxism, Socialism, egalitarian, statists ideologies.

Sallie J. Parker • 8 years ago

Thank you for all of the above. We especially need to call a moratorium on calling stuff we don't understand 'mental illness.' That means you, McInnes.

Chris Hadrick • 8 years ago

I don't know about Gavin's diagnoses but I think there's one critical determining factor in setting the tone that's out there right now: twitter.

In many cases the actual incident that sparks something happened there, in others the rallying for an action gets it's momentum there.

Most of us didn't grow up with it and many things about how and what we do there haven't been defined. Everyone has seen screen shots of tweets. I don't have screen shots of stuff I said when I was in high school in 1990. Every idea for a sentence I had wasn't recorded for posterity.

Gavin is concerned about liberals being ridiculous and getting people fired. Other people have different issues relating to different things. Most of them are good people.

Other people get on twitter and do everything they can to make people miserable via reporting them, trolling them, calling people racists, saying gross things to women who don't deserve it, and in general ruining a good time. People put their trust in others to let them express themselves in honest off the cuff ways and people exploit that for their own purposes.

I don't think the recent rise of political correctness and the creation of that website is a coincidence.

Crusader 30 • 8 years ago

Twitter was the epoch of neither political correctness nor human stupidity.

It's only relevant as a bridge between the asininities of generations, the product of a media industry headed by Boomers trying too hard to stay relevant, treating the rambling naiveté of the trophy-for-nothing unique snowflakes as gospel, and thus vaulting what was once and should always have been a sideshow of the sheltered university campus into the national forum, where Gen-Xers who fancy themselves too hip to be called "grandmother" and "grandfather" desperately latch on to it for approval.

One group who has long forgotten meaningful trial pandering to one group who has never experienced it and another even more removed. This is how non-issues become tinder for what's coming.

hfh1 • 8 years ago

Just excellent. Thanks.

Mnestheus • 8 years ago

Just because Michael Savage sounds deranged doesn't mean liberals are any saner, but comparing the comments the two camps draw, the lefties seem less floridly symptomatic.

Sorry guys- it's the disinrerestedness thing.

ricpic • 8 years ago

Cry-bullies is a fantastic term. Perfectly sums up the seemingly unstoppable weaklings who are tearing everything down.

erik_ny • 8 years ago

Liberals need someone to be guilty. They are in revolt against the healthy and well-constituted because they are botched in some way -- or in multiple ways -- and they need VICTIMS to avoid satisfying their thirst for destruction on themselves, which would be completely understandable. Responsibility for their miserable existence has to be shifted to someone else....

What's amazing to me, in the modern world, is the degree the Botched are being used and manipulated by corporate and political power... is that not a rainbow flag hanging outside the Pentagon this month? Surely Goldman Sachs has one flapping gaily in the breeze. CGHQ is bathed in rainbow floodlights...... surreal, isn't it? All these great humanitarian institutions need a liberal cover story apparently : )

John C. • 8 years ago

That's the real problem. People are scared of them because they (seem to) have friends in high places.

Santa Klauss • 8 years ago

That would account for their obsession with big "benevolent" governments.

Kirk • 8 years ago

That was worth reading if only to pick up the term "cry-bullies." In my college days that type usually just got laughed at a lot, but it appears they have blubberbullied their way to real power now and are enjoying it immensely.

Emily • 8 years ago

“The father sets down the law. When he is not there, a sense of anxiety takes root and that leads to outwardly directed hostility. Soon you are looking to the outside world to show you what the limits are."

I can't agree with this statement enough. My father passed away when I was young and I never realized how much it truly affected me until now at the age of sixteen. After my father passed I developed severe anxiety and insecurity problems, luckily I was able to address these issues and come out stronger. But with people disregarding the importance of traditional structures and values within families you are creating people who think irrational behavior is normal when it isn't and that's why you have all these weird wimps who can't tolerate someone having a different opinion than them; since they can't understand their own differing emotions. That's why liberals strive for total control over people because they don't have control over their own lives.

That's a curious statement. I am sure you thought through it.

Islam, like other Semitic systems is vile, intolerant and violent. But is it a cult? If with more than a billion adherents it's a cult then are you saying that all other major religions are also cults?

What is pseudo-environmentalism?

RadicalCenter • 8 years ago

Yes, it's a cult no matter how many people profess it.

Bardon Kaldian • 8 years ago

As usual, I disagree with many-not all- comments. And I don't want to write a long post (I don't know whether I'll succeed or not). And the "mattress Emma" scandal is not something I am too much interested in.

BUT.....

The entire story fills me with commiseration alloyed with disgust. Everyone knows that for (young) females- not only them, but especially them- looks are of primary importance. And most females are either plain or obese or both or everything not attractive to men. This is a trivial fact.

This creature was evidently emotional-mental mess from the get go, a psycho in the making. A plain Jane craving for male ....attention ? Probably, but I suspect, even more- love. I understand that society is not tender in treatment of such cases & tends to marginalize and degrade them.. Yet, why exacerbate the whole situation by ridiculing her- and I am certain she was humiliated & leered at before the mattress freakout. The same goes for young (white) males who are systematically abused through media induced demonization as betas, losers, wimps, creeps, retards, whatnot...

So, in a culture which mercilessly & viciously downgrades ordinary men & women, and even more sensitive and vulnerable ones- what can you expect ? In a more psycho-ideologically healthy and mature society "mattress Emma" would, in all probability, be a mildly depressed girl going through regular vicissitudes befalling young females- and not likely anything more.

Just, the dehumanizing combination of "gender culture" and supposed eternal female victimhood, aggressively & malignantly promoted by media & academia ("intellectual" mobsters), established social circles literally oozing destructive enmity toward normalcy, (now) evidently deranged parents & the entire atmosphere saturated by toxicity poisoning anything normal, human, dignified, life-affirming.... has put her on the track leading to further emotional-mental disintegration, misery, self- hatred & ultimately, I surmise, lunatic asylum, perhaps suicide in the future. Not dissimilar to that half-Sikh girl from Duke who got into porn & was publicly glorified as a symbol of "women-empowerment". And her parents came to her defense, too. I mean- they "defended" her "career choice".

What kind of world is it that glamorizes & "celebrates" overly sensitive and mentally unstable young women who have, through brainwashing, become whores ? They don't have an ounce of free will; they don't know left from right; their minds had been blank slates on which post-modern degenerates & their filthy cliques who dictate public discourse had indelibly written pornographic excrement.

These are ruined lives, ruined forever and I cannot seriously consider wasted lives of quintessential victims to be examples of triumphant narcissism dominating egomaniacs force upon innocent & passive general public. This simply is shifting the blame from the manipulators onto the psychologically disfigured victims.

NormanKnight • 8 years ago

Great stuff, Bardon. The only thing lacking is identification of those "intellectual" mobsters--and their masters--in the media and academia (and elsewhere). Why must you speak of them euphemistically?

Bardon Kaldian • 8 years ago

Nobody is speaking euphemistically about anything.
The crucial mistake virtually all conspiracy- theories minded people make is that they try to pin-point a clearly defined group (mostly religious, ethnic, racial,..) as *the* source of major socio-cultural changes, and in this case it's Jews (sometimes masons or something similar).

And this is a major misfire, because no such group exists. There is no causal connexion between any ethnicity/race/... & great upheavals in the West (and in the US) in past 3-4 decades, especially re immigration debates, influx of culturally & racially foreign and inimical masses, disintegration of family & denigration of national loyalties etc. To think that a group (or groups), which is relatively easy to identify, can be the source of such monumental upheavals bespeaks of historical illiteracy.

There was no ethnic nor ideological group of people behind such shattering revolutions & world-view changes like transition from the Roman republic to Imperial Rome, Protestant Reformation, Crusades, formation of national monarchies, Enlightenment, collapse of "divine rights" of kings, imperialist expansion of European powers, national awakening in the 19th C, WW1 and WW2,... Not Jews, not masons, not Illuminati, not Rosicrucians, not some occult brotherhood residing in the Himalayas.

Simply, Western civilization has come to a dead end -*in the form of continuity of the 18th C Enlightenment*- and we are witnessing the processes of further decay, encapsulated in famous hypothetical question ascribed to Lenin: " Are the forces which propel us to greatness the same that will, transformed by mutations of History, eventually lead to our collapse ?"

A man who, despite his shortcomings & delusions about the role of technology, various national cultures and their dominant currents, understood that better than most was Oswald Spengler. The Western civilizational matrix is old and tired. And this is the root of the Western decline. That what plagues the West & the US the most (race replacement, PC "liberal" ideological muzzle, hedonist emptiness & demographic collapse manifested in infertility, pathological altruism, lunatic ideological fashions like n-th wave of feminism, media aggression promoting "diversity" & homosexualism- as different from homosexuality, self-hatred of European & Western culture....)-this is as present, although a bit modified, in Italy, Spain, Denmark, Norway, France, Germany, Switzerland,.. as in the US. And in these countries Jewish presence in the media & the overall life is negligible or non-existent.

Although ruling elites differ in the aforementioned countries, they are a mixture of hereditary aristocracy, established bourgeois families & plutocratic oligarchs. These groups have, historically, served their countries. Now, they are morally & culturally bankrupt and serve outmoded gods whose future is annihilation- similar situation that had befallen pompous & deluded aristocrats in the 18th-19th C or imperialist jingoists in the 20th.

The failure of nerve that comes with exhausted & geriatric social-cultural matrix is to blame, not some group conspiracy.

NormanKnight • 8 years ago

Thank you for taking the time to reply, Bardon. I see wisdom in what you say, but I also see a refusal to see the obvious contributing factors, (e.g., the Frankfurt School and its critical theory). I know you are addressing not just me, but a wider audience.

Personally, I don't blame Jews for the decline and eventual fall of Western Civilization, nor do I ignore what are, at times, obvious and, more frequently, the not so obvious effects of international finance (largely Jewish) and Zionism on world affairs.

Bardon Kaldian • 8 years ago
