In my State they call this Capital Felony Murder , There are only two sentences ... life without parole , or death .

LA • 7 years ago

Those should be the only to sentences. I just can't figure out how someone thinks that murder is easier than divorce. Yes, divorce can get hostile and both parties are going to lose something - one side will probably lose more than the other however, to take your children's mother away and lose any hopes of being involved in their lives again... just tragic.

sorry someone hurt you so deeply, but self pity doesn't look good on anyone. It's that kind of hatred that has left two young children without either parent.

neutronJK • 4 years ago

You sound like a new recruit for the Incel movement. Trying to speak of all women (or all men) as one homogenous group having only one goal is foolishness.

Curt Doerfler • 7 years ago

Prophet, their should be only one, "Death" right away no waiting for appeals, she probably appealed for her life while being brutally murdered look at the sentence she got!!!!

Planet Earth • 7 years ago

Instant freedom. Huge insurance payout. Keep your kids 100%. Have sympathy from the community. Use all that and start a new life with a younger, hotter girlfriend. There's just too much motivation for some guys who are trying to find a way out of marriage. Thankfully the investigators looked deep enough to prevent this tool from getting away with it.

Amore HL • 5 years ago

He didn't want the kids either! He told the killer the kids would not be there and that after he killed the wife, he should burn the house down (and the cars as well for maximum insurance money). Luckily the killer was spooked apparently by the brutality the killing took, or the realization that at least one of the kids WAS there.

Ron Ruggieri • 7 years ago

" A way out of marriage " ? Yes, that is also the socio-economic question . But the pillars of society - the intellectual and " moral " representatives of the ruling class-a class with a rock foundation of " private property "- fear even public debate on the institution of marriage, an institution designed to perpetuate social inequality.Recall the old 60s pop song " Patches " ?
By the way, this debate is more than 100 years old on the democratic Left. Really so shocking ?
The German Weimar Republic had a higher level of understanding here.

What a beautiful wife and mother.. It sounds like she put up a good fight if it started upstairs. I only wish somehow she could have made it out the door or someone would have come to the door. There are so many unsuspecting victims. Who thinks that their husband may come home and kill them? He couldn't have loved his children or he wouldn't have taken their mother away. What a pig. My heart hurts for her family and for her while she was trying to save her own life.

Cheryl L • 7 years ago

What kind of a man would do this to his wife whom he had sworn off to protect for the rest of his life. I'm speechless! Sad world we live in....

Tommy Wo • 6 years ago

I've never understood why someone would murder their spouse instead of divorcing them. You may end up in the poor house, but it sure as hell beats going to the big house for life. Or worse!

bee's knees • 4 years ago

That's why the death penalty isn't a deterrent. Everyone thinks they'll get away with murder- and many do.

MidTennDog • 7 years ago

I hope there's a way to make the life insurance company pay out to the children and not just void it due to the father's involvement.

E Sverdrup • 7 years ago

I don't think it would be reasonable to make the insurance company pay for that kind of fraud. You take an insurance policy out because you plan to murder them but the insurance company should have to pay?

MidTennDog • 7 years ago

If I kill myself, my policy will pay out to my benefactors because the suicide clause has expired. My patience will be rewarded but I contend it's as much fraud as killing your significant other. Just depends on what is in the policy.

herding cats • 7 years ago

In my state, a life insurance policy won't pay to a killer or conspirator to the murder of an insured.

Tyrone Smith • 7 years ago

They have to void it if he is listed as the primary beneficiary. Federal and state laws require it.

USAF Retired • 7 years ago

How he thought he could get away with hiring someone to kill his wife is beyond me. It never works, especially right after he doubled her life insurance policy. Did he not think the police would find that out? What an idiot.

Body Bag • 7 years ago

i think the sister did it because she wanted the kids period

Gary • 4 years ago

The only thing worse then your stupid comment are the 25+ mentally challenged people that upvoted you.

Matt Williams • 7 years ago

You are scum and belong in that body bag.

Troll2 • 7 years ago

His sentence should be to be thrown in a wood chipper. No life sentences. Just be done with them.
I feel so bad for those two kids and the wife's family.

Biglittlejoe • 7 years ago

That's one disgusting man!!! I hope he rots in prison!!!

John • 7 years ago

She wanted the bad boy. She got him.

Lee Thompson • 4 years ago

So it's her fault?

Guest • 4 years ago

You’ve been on this site long enough to know that it’s ALWAYS the woman’s fault, no matter what—no matter what she does or doesn’t do. She should have known or done more or done differently or whatever.

cryp • 7 years ago

that if he was to divorce Kelley, ‘she would take everything from me,

This is the problem

Solution
1. Don't get married

Lee Thompson • 4 years ago

How about being a decent human being.

HeadspacenTiming • 7 years ago

This is why we do need cops to wear body cams. The job of a police officer can be a real-life horror movie at times. They may get the public to see the world through their eyes if they show stuff like this.

The Kamina • 4 years ago

That's good and fine until it's your loved one on the recording; they can't simply do that at every scene.

why do women date bad boys

Lee Thompson • 4 years ago

The bad boys can be very charming when they want to be.

Denese • 7 years ago

Very fishy. Where were the kids in all of this? Not home, I hope. If not home tho, how did daddy manage for them to be gone? Why would they go for a sleep over just because dad was playing poker that night?

Deonna Peterson • 7 years ago

Both of the kids were home at the time. The attack started in the parents bed room, as she was being attacked she screamed for her daughter to run. She then went into her daughter bed room to close her inside for safety. the attacked continued in the hall and down the stairs and ended in the kitchen. The little girl went out into the hall and down the stairs despite her mother telling her to stay in her room. She said she saw the man in the mask hurting her mommy, when he left she went over to her mothers body hugged her and said she went back upstairs to look after her baby brother. This was shown on a recent episode of Dateline.

bridget71098 • 7 years ago

Omg... that is so damn sad. I'm so damn mad at these men taking away children's mother's. And the child witnessed it. Thank god he didn't hurt the children. And even as she was being savagely attacked she still tried to protect her children. I'm so very sorry these children lost their mommy. And thank god for her sister being able to take the children and fight for her sister.

Ray Gordon • 7 years ago

Women like badboys...

Guest • 4 years ago

Grow up or at least try to do so.

Planet Earth • 7 years ago

In every true crime episode I've ever seen of a murder for hire where the couple has kids and it's not school hours, usually they're sent on a convenient sleep over with friends or grandparents, or the scheming parent takes them out for an activity, so that when they get home the kids can go into the house and discover dead mom first. Cold-blooded.

wow, how sick and sad you are . An innocent woman was hacked to death, and you spew this.....

Lee Thompson • 4 years ago

Wow. Having your children's mother murdered? He obviously doesn't love his children either.

bee's knees • 4 years ago

Are guys like this even capable of real love?
Sociopaths aren't.

Tommy Wo • 6 years ago

I consider myself a pretty nice laid-back guy. Unfortunately, some guys take that as invitation to try and start something. But after taking boxing / street fighting lessons for the past 5 years I'm pretty well capable of discouraging most people from messing with me. I don't start fights, but I'm very capable of finishing one if someone wants to push things.

Dj Dave • 7 years ago

Aside from the obviously Heinous crime, it still amazes me that seemingly normal people actually believe they can get away with it. I guess they didn't think that idea all the way through... Cause he thunk wrong... The Emperor says, "Off with his head!"
