The solution to Sunni extremism is to turn the Shia militias loose on them instead of trying to be the world's police. There will be a famine in Yemen unless we let Iran go in there and put its military in to support the Houthis and oppose the expansionist Saudis who are starving the Yemeni people and bombing them.

I say let Sunni vs. Shia proceed and may the best sect win. A Persian influence in Mecca would diminish the Wahhabist Sunni terror in the world. ISIS and other Salafist such as the MB would have to return home to fight - solving the West's terror problem in our lands.

I don't see a moral or strategic problem in letting Arabs kill Arabs (yes, Iranians are not Arabs but the rule still applies). It is a desirable state, much the way the US encouraged Saddam to attack Iran in the 1980s, as revenge for having held US citizens hostages.

All I can say is the acts of terrorism on our soil have come from Sunnis and ISIS and al Qeada are products of the Sunnis.

I sat on a plane last November next to an Egyptian man who fled and resettled in California.
