I posted this several hours ago, but I think the morning shift will enjoy it, too.

Thanks to Intergalactic Walrus, who spotted a $cientology kiosk in the Glendale (California) Galleria close to the Target store, Tory Christman went there and took a personality test and went on an e-meter with an auditor.

She said that the guy really wasn't too good at it, and, of course, she didn't reveal that she was a highly trained auditor herself.

When he asked her to think of someone who really upset her, she picked the first person who came to mind and pinned the needle on the e-meter.

The auditor said something like, "Wow, that person must really have upset you. Who is it?"

"David Miscavige."

BAM! Take that.

She really knows how to get through to people.

The video that was taken of her from a distance while she spoke to the auditor, and said David Miscavige was what she was thinking of was so moving. You could see in her face - she wanted to reach this man. She cared about him. She wanted him to wake up. She is such a loving person. I hope her words got into him somehow. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Tory treats those people with kindness. That's what got to her, and it's worked on others. They're told that SPs are mean, and by not acting that way, it may cause them to question what they've been told.

She had true compassion on her face. I think that peak into her heart would speak as much to him as the contrast between her outward behavior and what he's been told to expect. Will be praying for him that this incident takes root and bears fruit.

Tory plays the long game. I hope it will be the seed that eventually gets the person to become a part of the majority: ex-$cientologist.

Tory is one of those people i would aspire to be. I have a big ole girl crush on her, Her emotional commitment to this issue is one of the biggest reasons I give a damn. I bet she has no idea how great she All that applies to you too Mish.

I 'm pretty much a hanger-on. Tory is fearless, but she also makes sure that she's safe. She was protesting when few were and Co$ was not only verbally but physically aggressive. When I first saw her on video, I thought she was this pleasant lady who had important things to say, but when I met her and saw her in action, I discovered she knows how to get through the veil of conditioning that $cientologists are subjected to.

The first time I protested with her, In her sweet, calm voice, she asked the security guard, "Do you know ______?" He nodded yes. "Next time you see him, you can tell him TO GO, FUCK HIMSELF." It was hilarious.

When you first told me that story I have imagined the whole scene in my head. I still chuckle when I imagine * those * words coming out of that sweet mouth. I am glad she has such a good big brother looking out for her.

Every time I've been with her, Tory hasn't needed a big brother. She always makes sure that there's someone close by to witness what goes on.

Story (I wasn't there)
Tory was getting off the subway at the Universal Studios stop, and had a bunch of kids following her up the escalator, swearing away. One of them noticed her, and said, "Hey, watch your language. There's a lady here."

Tory turned around and said, "Fuck you." They all cracked up. They continued on to the final part of the trip to street level, which is an elevator. They all piled into an elevator, along with a lot of people who worked in Universal City.

The kids, wise to Tory, started up again, and one of them again said, "Hey, watch your language, there's a lady present."

Tory, knowing that was her cue, turned around and said, "Fuck youl" The whole elevator cracked up.

Tory then explained that she was in the cult or $cientology for 30 years, and that $cientologist swear like sailors, but she's out, and happy for it.

When she got out of the elevator, some of the people thanked her and others stopped and shook her hand, too.

If Tory was a born-again Christian, I'd call that witnessing, but it's never obnoxious with her. She takes every opportunity to let people know how fucked up $cientology is. She's a one woman PR campaign.

And the auditor was probably sitting there thinking, "David who?"

I kind of doubt that. Davy, in all his egotistical manners. has his name all over everything.

Tory has been out for 16 years after achieving OT 7. She intended to leave quietly, but $cientology decided to fair game her. She's been a thorn in their side ever since. She also is usually quite gentle in the way she talks to those still in, but she's capable of giving better than she gets if challenged.

I get to bask in her glow, as well as some of the other well-known critics that I've met through her. I have great admiration for all of them, particularly after the way they have been treated.
