I used to use that too. But I’ve found a better tool called ExcelCompare ( https://excelcompare.org ). It shows a side-by-side view with synced scrolling. It’s way more intuitive than Diffchecker.

I would recommend https://diffcheck.net/ before starting programming, quite happy with that for quick check what have been changed in excel spreadsheets.

Good and detailed comparison. However, you've left out AbleBits, which is, like Synkronizer, a standalone tool, and Windows-only. It seems to be doing a good job, though (I haven't tested it yet).

Hi Thomas, from what I recall, AbleBits (at the time of this writing, not sure if that's still the case) were not able to compare a full workbook, but only specific sheets, which is why I left it out of the comparison.
