His first show of incoherence was in law school, where, of all places, he was caught at plagiarism. I think the car accident was 1979 or 80, so lying was ingrained in his personality as an adult. The man is incoherent, dissociable, and how he became a VP seems to have been a repayment of loyalty. My own opinion is that the Dems need a throw-away candidate against Trump.

The American federal government was designed to have three branches; however, the most important branch of government belongs to "WE" the people. The political parties in this country have hijacked this branch of government to pursue their own goals and principles REGARDLESS of what "WE The People" have to say or feel about it and have elicited to abscond with "WE The Peoples" Constitutional rights. Many years ago we spent 17 days at a hospital watching our son gradually recover from a closed head injury. In the adjacent bed was a teen-aged boy with an inoperable brain tumor. We were blessed as day by day, our son's condition was improving. The really sad truth about Joe Biden is that like the boy with the brain tumor, he is not going to get any better--his mental "acruity" will only get worse. By sticking with him, the DNC is again demonstrating that there is nothing in the best interests of America that the Democrat leadership will not jettison in their insatiable quest for power.

That's the actual pronunciation Joe used in his response ["my mental acruity"], when asked, a couple months ago, if he had the mental fitness to fill the job to which he aspired. I remember late in a N.J. senate race, when polls showed Bob Torricelli far behind ('cause of some scandal) they took him off and brought Frank Lautenberg out of retirement. No matter that filing deadlines were well past--the N.J. Supreme Court ruled that people had to be able to choose between candidates of both parties. The Dems won that one, and if Biden bombs in debates with Trump, they will likely persuade (i.e. threaten to expose or poison) him to withdraw and be replaced with the VP candidate--or Michelle, Hillary or ???--(and SCOTUS will almost certainly approve.) The problem with replacing Joe at the DNC Convention is that if they don't advance Sanders, many of his supporters may sit out the election. And should Biden actually prevail on Nov. 3--a real possibility considering mail-in ballots and vote harvesting, fraudulent activities, pandering to illegal immigrants [Biden promising 11 million citizenship,] etc.--and then prove unable to continue in office, I expect Joe will retreat to his bunker and Jill Biden will run things, much as Edith Wilson did the last 17 months of his presidency. (So well did the White House conceal Wilson's true condition from the public and congress, that he seriously considered running for a third term. Folks in the know might have more forcefully pressed Wilson to abdicate, had not VP Marshall been so obviously and totally unsuitable to succeed Wilson.) I wouldn't be surprised if Joe selects a running mate attractive to his base, but likewise one a clear majority of folks wouldn't want to replace Joe with. Stacey Abrams comes to mind. (Some presidential candidates see their running mates as their life insurance policy--e.g. Nixon-Agnew.)
