Does your company do donation matching for employees?

Hi – thanks for your question. We don’t currently offer donation matching but that’s something we hope to be able to do in the future.

Here's why I'm no longer shopping in your stores, I've unsubscribed to your emails and unliked your Facebook page. I will do my best to spread the word to like minded individuals to do the same...

"The Container Store founders’ Boone Family Foundation, as well as the Harold Simmons Foundation, together donated $2 million to Planned Parenthood, the Dallas Morning News reported.

These organizations say they are dedicated to providing care for women and children, yet they each gave $1 million to the largest abortion business in the United States. Planned Parenthood aborts almost 330,000 unborn children every year, according to its own reports.

The Boone Family Foundation is an organization that works to help “advance equity for women and girls,” “improve quality of life for children,” and “promote environmental stewardship,” according to its website. Similarly, the Harold Simmons Foundation was established to “improve the quality of life of all our members of our community.” Both organizations are based in Texas."

There's just no convincing people that abortions are WRONG. They speak of women's rights, but yet can't see that abortions are killing 'women' of the future.They were raised thinking this was 'okay'. Eventually they will learn the truth, but it will be too late then. I am amazed that there are so many abortions when they have so many ways to avoid pregnancy in the first place. It's just mind boggling.

The contents of a woman's uterus, and what she chooses to do with those contents are none of your business. I'm glad I'll never run into you at The Container Store, I would not want to shop along side someone who had her head in my uterus.

However, in a article written by the Dallas news, "How DFW women may benefit from two $1 million Planned Parenthood donations" by Holly Haber, Haber writes, "Boone established the Boone Family Foundation with her husband, Garrett, co-founder of The Container Store." Seeing that The Container Store is a corporation, it exist as a separate entity. It is like me and my wife building a corporation and then making a separate foundation that supports Planned Parenthood.

The reason why Giving Heart cited as to why they're not shopping with you is the very reason I am. Thank you to the Boone family for caring about Texas women and their families when even their own government doesn't. I realize the foundation is separate from the store but I also recognize it as being one potential source of revenues for the foundation. I have a choice of where to shop and I support organizations that support women. Thank you!!

I too try to focus my spending with organizations that support progressive causes, specifically such as planned parenthood, whether directly or through a foundation. I just made my first visit to a container store, and I know it won't be the last.

Hi, I'm a resident of the Eastern Panhandle in West Virginia. Many counties in West Virginia were recently devastated by flooding. We are in serious need of containers to help get supplies to the victims. We have local people who were not affected by the floods who went down last Friday, 6/24 and set up a 'camp' to dispense the items we collected locally for the victims. Many containers were donated to ship the supplies but cardboard boxes had to be used also. More rain in the affected area caused the boxes to get wet. We are still collecting items locally and are in dire need of containers to get the supplies to the victims. Would you please consider donating some containers or offer a reduced rate for purchase? Hi, I'm a resident of the North Texas Area that was affected by the recent tornados. I've been out volunteering and one of the prized commodities are plastic tote bins for residents to store what is salvageable of their belongings. What is the process to request donations? Any damaged bins or discontinued styles...anything would be a blessing for these residents. I live close to your Coppell Distribution and would be more than glad to come pick them.up. Love Container Store employees..all so helpful, happy & excited about showing me new stuff. Especially love the ELFA designers. We've done two bedroom closets and one large bookshelf/ desk unit. Looking at doing a few more while current sale is on. Designers made an overwhelming project do-able. Our 1920's house is full of uneven walls, awkward spaces & too few closets. With the ELFA design software, designer's creative eye & knowledge of products the end results were beyond awesome. So functional and beautiful!
