CSRS is based on the same COLA as SS, now there are some retirees who do not get any type of SS,through other jobs where they paid SS, so in a way there CSRS is there SS, so now you would want to penalize these people only because they worked for the govt. Change things for people who are just coming into the govt, this way if they don't like what is offered they will not take the job.

I've got about half the credits required for me to qualify for SS, so CSRS is my social security. It seems like the COLAs should be equal. Same for Medicare Part B.

Correct that is what I am saying those in CSRS who are not collecting SS that is there SS, as for Medicare B, when ever the people on SS get there cola, and they will get an increase if any in the premium, but if there is no COLA for the people collecting there is law that there Medicare premium can not go up, but you who does not collect SS they can raise the premium. Now when people collecting SS get a COLA, there Medicare B goes up to what the person paying the premium, in the end it all equal out
