I love the Sunday Specials! You put everything in to perspective that all should be able to comprehend. Thank you for standing for truth, and calling good, good, and evil, evil.
I stopped watching TV over eleven years ago, I was sick of the growing filth that is being pushed as normal and good.
It is good to see you are back, with a Sunday Special. :)

Amen. Well said Trevor.

My practice is to receive on the tongue. One priest is so moved that he always touches the side of my face after giving me the host. He is very old and I think it takes him back to the old days. He's been retired for many years but still assists at the Cathedral.

I received the Eucharist on the tongue today for the first time and it was a moving experience. I was extremely nervous as most take it by the hand but I remembered that the Priest said we can do either/or in RCIA, and my sponsor only receives it on the tongue. This in conjunction with what Walid said about it made me realize that there is just no other way to receive it.

Absolutely wonderful indeed!!

Glad to see you finally receive the Bread of Life Darren. Especially in the only proper way. Christus Vincit.

DeusLoVult • 6 years ago

Only proper way, sir? Well then, I reckon I need to try it. Could you direct me to the article you wrote concerning this?

You vile heretic. Our Lord is not spirit. He has risen from the grave in the flesh given to him by his mother. He still inhabits a physical body glorified and seated at the right hand of his father. You either believe him or not. He said to eat his flesh and drink his blood in perpetual remembrance of his most blessed passion and death. I know you do not believe this, but I cannot let your comment pass without rebuke.

BobTrent • 6 years ago

Jesus has a spirit, as do we, but is not "a" spirit. We are given the information we need but should not imagine that we have been told everything.

Grandmere • 6 years ago

Our instructions for receiving in the hand is to place the hands in the sign of a cross. We never took down the rails. The custom is to receive on one's knees.

Darren Neufeldt • 6 years ago

Wonderful update Trevor

Absolutely love it, Grand. Bishop Robert Morlino has already begun to make a difference within the Diocese of Madison, Wi. Here is what he said back in April of this year:
"I’m going to ask that we move together towards greater reverence when receiving Holy Communion. I’m going to ask that people be encouraged to receive Communion on the tongue and kneeling."

We have kept the communion rails. When we were building the Cathedral we didn't have a rail yet. It took a while. We had to stand to receive. To many that would not be a big deal. For us, it was a very sad and humbling time of trial. How we rejoiced when the rail and kneeler was installed.

Darren Neufeldt • 6 years ago

Unfortunately we stand, however kneeling would be awesome and I have thought to myself what would they do if I knelt when receiving communion? Sadly I don't think I would try it as getting down on bent knees is sometimes difficult and would hold up the already long lines.

Grandmere • 6 years ago

First - I said my prayer for you today. Second - If you can't get back up, best to stand. Our tradition is you either kneel or stand in the presence of the King of the Universe. I had a fall last week and injured my left knee. Painful but thank God not major. But I could not genuflect or kneel. He sees our heart and knows our every need. The bottom line - it is our stubborn heart that must kneel before his awesome majesty.

Fr. Paul is in his eighties and is a former Benedictine monk. Very old school and oh, so precious to me. Love them and tell them so, while you still can. They are too good for this world.

Vinny Zee • 6 years ago

My friend, just remember, if even the smallest crumb remains in your hand, that smallest crumb contains the entire body and blood of Christ, not just a crumb of it. This is the reason you will see the priest entirely washing and drinking the last remaining vestiges of the chalice so as to be sure none of the precious sacrament remains. So if even a crumb remains, and this falls to the ground and is trampled, etc, then remember even this smallest crumb contains the full sacrament. If I attend the Western Rite, I only attend the Latin Mass where they only serve communion on the tongue at the communion rail. In the Eastern Rite, it is administered by the priest with a spoon. If for any reason I have to attend the Novus Ordo, I only receive on the tongue. It is profound you are aware and have this concern. Blessings be upon you.

Dearest Higs, ( you know who I call you offline), I keep saying there will be a nuclear fusion of the Church. Some say I am a heretic because I am not Roman. Some say "well, maybe we will Chrismate you in the Eastern Church under certain circumstances". You may be "far away" from a church you could trust, but you are very near and dear to the author and finisher of the faith. I await the incoming artillery. I want to be standing next to you in line. A trembling soul whose fate hangs on God's grace and Christ's passion.

BobTrent • 6 years ago

The church that Jesus said He would build: "My church." He was not referring to a local meeting of His people but to His church at-large, the aggregate of all Christians.

PaulF • 6 years ago

Revelation 7:9-17 is the only clear indication I can find in Scripture about the number of the saved. It will be 'a huge number that no man could count.'
The number of angels in Revelation 5:11 is counted, ten thousand times ten thousand, or 100 million. The number of angels in Rev 9:16 is twice that number. But the number of saved humans is a number 'that no man could count.'

Grandmere • 6 years ago

It will be a high number that no man can count. All that were conceived but never born will inherit the kingdom along with a relatively few who mad it to adulthood. Click on "see more" for the lyrics to this great hymn. https://www.youtube.com/wat...

Nice to get back and read your comments Trevor. Battle Speed.

First, one can begin to see the problem with Amoris Laetitia, because if communion can be allowed for the divorced and remarried, who else will it be allowed for? Second, if the divorce (outside the prescribed bounds) is not a sin prohibiting the blessed sacrament, how can we expect an understanding of what is "mortal sin?" Outside the Catholic Church, such words as "mortal sin" do not exist. It is to the point, some evangelicals just claim the "blood of Jesus" and therefore you don't even need to confess sin any longer. If one does not need to confess sin any longer, how can one even recognize what is sin, let alone mortal sin? Thankfully, he has given to us the ministry of reconciliation. If only those locked up in sin, and those that approve of sin, can realize this blessed ministry, turn and repent. Paul warned that it was not only those who sin that are damned but those who approve of it. What a sobering warning.

I thought tonight, "what is the chance the Sunday Special arrives on Saturday this week?" Great timing I guess.

Vinny Zee • 6 years ago

Thanks, yes I read a similar article on it here:

maranatha • 6 years ago

Very thorough, and beautiful, thanks for sharing the full letter.

I'm sincerely grateful that I was caught up in the 'hysteria' of this Gnostic/Luciferian global conspiracy (at its head) against the Church long before my heart had converted to Catholic orthodoxy.

I've been there done that, so to speak, and at a time when I lacked the light of Christ through His Church, and the peace and assurance this brings to the inner depths of one's soul.

Seeing the horrors that surround us and knowing our final victory is assured in Christ, no matter what trials and tribulations await us, is far better than being stuck in a canoe without a paddle or a life jacket in the midst of these violent storms, as I was previously.

The Catechism tells us regarding the 'End Times' that the Church will go through 'a final trial', her own imitation of Christ's Passion. She'll be crucified and resurrected as Jesus was. The faith of 'many' will be shaken...

Bible prophesy, also a work of the Holy Spirit through His Church, basically tells us the same with references such as "falling away", "as in the days of Noah", etc.

As long as we don't let go of our paddle (obedience) and keep our life jacket on (stay in union with the Church), Christ will bless us with sufficient grace to make it through this storm into the still waters of eternal salvation:

Romans 5:19-21 (DRA)

19 For as by the disobedience of one man, many were made sinners; so also by the obedience of one, many shall be made just.
20 Now the law entered in, that sin might abound. And where sin abounded, grace did more abound.
21 That as sin hath reigned to death; so also grace might reign by justice unto life everlasting, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Vinny Zee • 6 years ago

Awesome story, thank you. Yes, I read your other post and wondered how you knew so much about all of that. So you were within that group? Is that the one with the Gnostic Mass? When did you convert and what was it that caused you to come home to the church? Always interested to hear the conversion stories of others.

I often flirted with joining an occult order (even paid a membership fee to join one once before pulling out…praise God), because our culture is saturated with occult themes and messages today, often portrayed in a positive light. I dabbled in some occult teachings, but never got too involved in it, not on any formal level. I had no idea 'sodomy' was a common ritual for occultists for example.

I drifted from one false religion to another false religion before Christ opened my eyes through the New Testament initially and then later through the fullness of the Catholic Faith.

The nutshell version:

I first got involved in a casual Gnostic home study course. The initiation stages delved into the area of Astral Projection and Out Body Experiences. The deeper I got into this study the more bizarre the lessons got. I put that aside completely after about a year (once it started getting too weird).

Then, prompted by the suggestion of a friend, I began exploring the Kabbalah, specifically through Bnei Baruch. I spent about 3 years involved in this group. It even took me as far as Israel for a Kabbalah congress.

From there I fell into ‘New Ageism’ through various texts, teachers and branches. I studied into Conversations with God, A Course in Miracles, New Thought e.g. The Science of Mind, Christian Science, James Allen, etc, and things of that nature.

After that I started to get closer to the ancient roots of the New Age Movement, and began seriously studying and practicing Yoga and later Advaita Vedanta.

That, Advaita Vedanta, was literally my last stop before FINALLY coming home to Christ. It started with a study of the New Testament. God’s Word convicted me of my sin almost immediately. I was shocked to find how many warnings were in there regarding false Christ’s and antichrists. In all my years ‘exploring’ my spiritual beliefs, I’d never read anything like the New Testament (NT). Nothing compared to it.

The moment I believed (that’s another story, let’s just say it didn’t take long after studying the NT cover to cover), the veil was lifted, exactly as Scripture states.

My God given gift of discernment still required sharpening however (not to say the sharpening ever ends, it doesn't). It took another 18 months or so to find the fullness of the Catholic Faith. (I was baptized as an infant, confirmed as a child, but the Faith never really took. I went to your typical liberal Catholic school, had non-practicing parents, none of my friends cared about the Faith, etc).

I was also interested in conspiracy research during these ‘wilderness years.’ I was observing and learning about the corruption in our governments, corporations etc, and through this was introduced into the occult aspects of this global conspiracy. By then I’d already put my interest in the occult aside as a viable spiritual path. Advaita Vedanta isn’t an occult religion. It is pantheistic. But it didn't teach visualization or any other occult type of practice or ritual. I was into the self-enquiry/mindfulness Sri Ramana Maharshi branch of Advaita Vedanta.

Obviously, I could go into much more detail. This is the synopsis.

As for “knowing so much”, I actually don’t know all that much. It’s just that I’ve had my eyes on these things for a long time now and gotten very good at ‘spotting’ the pieces of the puzzle that have surfaced and how they fit together 'big picture', by the grace of God. It’s all basically laid out in the open for us now (for those with the eyes to see who are paying close attention).

The 'Externalisation of the Hierarchy' is already in motion as we can see through the popularisation of terms like 'Illuminati' and our cultures embrace of naturalism in its various forms through the occult indoctrination we receive in our schools, universities, media streams, government policies, etc. It's everywhere.

But I certainly don’t have any 'specialized' field of expertise like Walid, Ted, Andrew, and our other Catholic researchers online. That's good in a way. It probably makes it a little easier to see how all the pieces are coming together from every angle...

BobTrent • 6 years ago

A reminder that "sodomy" is not restricted to the dictionary definition but takes in all inherently nonprocreative genital stimulation. "Uncleanness."
No need to discuss the particulars. The acts should not even be named among Christians. People ask, "Is __________ forbidden/allowed by the Bible?" No one asks if natural male-female copulation is in the blank. The acts that are put in the blank are the ones.

joe • 6 years ago

Why was the communion allowed for Peter who denied Christ with cursing? The Holy communion is allowed for all those who are saved. Even the Prophets weren't given the communion yet they where waaay much more better than yourself. hmm. Sin is you thinking you know whats right and wrong. Go back to Adam and Eve.

Vinny Zee • 6 years ago

Why is salvation allowed for you who curses your fellow man? Salvation is allowed for those who are pure of heart. Aren't they the ones who will see the kingdom of God? Didn't Peter say the prophets longed to look into the salvation that we have? Sin is you condemning people back to the Garden rather than speaking of the ways of salvation. By your words you will be acquitted and by your words you will be condemned. I am not your judge.

joe • 6 years ago

salvation allowed for those pure in heart? HAHA. Chirst came and died while yet WE where SINNERS. Are sinners pure in heart?

Vinny Zee • 6 years ago

If a sinner does not accept Christ, he remains a sinner and Christ's death still remains efficacious. When did I ever say a sinner was pure in heart? You have a misunderstanding of the application of salvation. Is it your argument you can remain a merry ole sinner after coming to know Christ? That is sadly the new evangelism of you modernist.

BobTrent • 6 years ago

Because approving of the sins of others is sin. Knowing that your brother (or sister) in Christ is transgressing and saying nothing, failing to warn, to rebuke, is to hate one's brother.
