What is his business with the referendum in Turkey? The President should know when to keep quiet instead of poking his nose into other people's problems.

Reginald Dandeson • 7 years ago

He can poke his nose into other people's problems if he wants but he should first do what is right for the peace, stability and freedom of the Nigerian peoples.

ONLY A CATTLE FROM DAURA COULD BE SUCH A HYPOCRITICAL BUFFOON.
Erdogan thinks positive for Biafra remember?
ZOOMASTER is congratulating another Man for carrying out a referendum, while pissing on anyone who mentions referendum in his own KINGDOM.

Buahri is a huge joke. He was the first past leader in Nigeria to boycott Oputa panel that was put in place to reconcile Nigerians after June 12 troubles. Again the idiot refused to allow Nigerians discuss or accept the outcome of their own National conference. He is always the first to congratulate responsible people for their achievements in their own country while he is overseeing the killings of innocent Nigerians by his own kinsmen for cows to asses grassland. Buhari is a real sub-human. Simply mundane

Trump only put a private call to Erdogan probably because of the issues with Syria. Angel Merkel was diplomatic and suave because of Turkey's decision to accommodate refugees from troubled Syria. In fact many other EU countries were sceptical about the outcome of the referendum.

So, what is Buhari's reason for rushing to congratulate Erdogan in an election EU Observers claimed curtailed fundamental freedoms. Monitors report the constitutional referendum took place on unlevel playing field and campaigners did not have equal opportunities.

Reports also confirmed a number of irregularities which include counting of unstamped ballots, and restriction of media outlets and arrest of journalists.

If Buhari was quick to applaud a flawed referendum what is stopping him from holding one for the separatist Biafrans or holding a referendum on Nigeria? Just asking!

puretruth • 7 years ago

This Buhari is a goat what you cannot accept in your country you are congratulating another president. Now I know truly the man originated from animal kingdom

GEO • 7 years ago

"The President commended Erdogan for his maturity in leading his people to the polls to decide on the future of leadership for the country that would further deepen peace and stability."

Did you hear that coming from a president vehemently opposed to a referendum or restructuring that could usher in peace for millions of people. This man want to die as the most hated Nigerian president ever.

Joris 2019 • 7 years ago

That's actually the handiwork of Femi, Buhari did not issue any congratulatory message, Femi is just trying to be relevant since his boss is nowhere to be found.

What's the significance of this congratulatory message from President Buhari to his counterpart in Turkey when the President and his likes have rejected a call for referendum to determine the fate of the Biafrans? Why would Buhari congratulate a country which has given their people the freedom to determine their future when the same president of Nigeria has refused to accede to the demand for convocation of National Sovereign Conference, which will usher in a true federalism? Nigeria is heading towards the down side stride, but those benefiting from this skewed federation are not giving heed to calls for the operation of true federal system of government. Hear what our Presidnet said in the congratulatory message. "According to him, the referendum showcases the democratic credentials of the country and reflects a willingness of the Turkish people to live together and jointly pursue a better future". Well meaning Nigerians have called for conference of ethnic nationalities for the sole purpose of determining how we are gong to live together in peace, but he president and others before him have declined. We will continue to wallow in this blind leadership until the needful is done.

LagLon • 7 years ago

...the referendum was to reduce the checks and balances and give erdogan more central power - NOT FEDERATE.
...turkey has clamped down on free speech and newspapers, locked up professors and anyone dissenting and has largely got away with it (whilst ISIS is everyones main bogeyman).
...also turkey was a secular state and has become completely under the control of the islamists.
...hence the 'oga well done' message.
..im sure pmb admires him. sadly pmbs style is route 1 football and he has not packed his team with any players good enough to deliver this slowly here.

Reginald Dandeson • 7 years ago

You got the underpinnings exactly right.

LagLon • 7 years ago

pmb sent femi to ask for erdogans 'creeping dictator' manual...
his team dont have the finesse to shut the national assembly but he forgets that erdo... has been on seat for many many years..

Buhari's government is a joke-- nothing but a joke! How many world leaders are congratulating Turkey for a simple referendom? Did Buhari congratulate UK for Brexit? Does this mean Buhari is in support of referendom here at home too especially for those regions that no longer want to be part of Nigeria state? Jobless government!!

simplelike chuck • 7 years ago

What a blunder. Is that referendum not dictated by erdogan ? Besides, a president like Buhari who can't allow a referendum or confab report implemented in his country, is congratulating another! Hypocrisy of the highest.

edosa • 7 years ago

It is hypocrisy at its best.

Mamman Bako • 7 years ago

That is hypocrisy of the highest order! An inherent Fascist who despises democratic processes like referendum is demonstrating his ignorance and apathy by congratulating Erdogan for successfully conducting a referendum.

edosa • 7 years ago

The congratulatory message is utterly irrelevant and useless.
It is very provocative to any decent minded Nigerian.

Joris 2019 • 7 years ago

The congratulatory message is coming from a spokesman that want to be relevant by all means.
