They declared IPOB a terrorist organization without telling us who they were terrorising, where and when. They like to make deals with real terrorists who they call bandits. Well, history will definitely vindicate the just. The military should learn to face terrorist groups like Boko Haram, killer herdsmen, the ones they call bandits and stop killing agitators waving flags and banners, while marching with songs.

Alfred Judah • 3 years ago

Their power is only in the south east, that is why heaven is judging them in the north.

The sisi military of the failed nation, when it comes to IPOB/ESN they turn to lion. Mad people everywhere!

STANLEY • 3 years ago

Is Nigeria military turning to boys scout or what?. Buhari have finally turned Nigeria to joke.

Daddy peace • 3 years ago

It is not enough. They’ve to kill the relatives
of Shehu Gabbage and fatten pig Lawan before they understand that there’s a difference between patriotism and blind loyalty

frankbuttrue • 3 years ago

Buhari should be blamed for the audacity with which Fulani terrorists operate. Rather than dealing decisively with them when the madness started, he was treating them as "my people". They took advantage of the fact that Buhari would do nothing to them to get bolder and deadlier.
Up to now, Buhari still see them as "my people" and continue to protect them.
Just as the Muslim North didn't take Boko Haram seriously until they moved from killing only Christians to killing fellow Muslims, Buhari would be forced to act when they start slaughtering fellow Fulanis and their leaders.

Abeg, let the killing stay up there. Let it not come down to us. I have been searching for a space for pity in my heart towards the security personnel but can't find any, unfortunately. When you allow yourself to be used as a pawn by the elites (your real enemies) against the masses (who should be your ally) you lose my sympathy.

Ofuzo • 3 years ago

The killing is happening all over the country. Remember when truckload of northerners were intercepted during the lockdown last year. They were headed to southern states and these fulani bandits have taken over nigerian forests and are now launching one attack after another against hapless citizens.

Nestor • 3 years ago

I agree with you. My submission was simply a wish; it does not represent the situation on ground. I wish it stays up there since they excused it for a long time. I wish it hadn't spilled over to the southern states that had rejected the culture, the practice, and the diabolical politics from the outset.

Michael2062 • 3 years ago

Our security men are never on alert. They are so lousy. So far they are not security conscious, anything can happen. People are enrolled just because the have godfather. All they joined the forces for, is to go and take bribes from people on the highway.

Man_Enough • 3 years ago

i feel for the soldiers but they ought to have been more resilient.

This is only happening because the Nigerian Military is now dragging
100:Naira Checkpoint mashing with the Nigerian Police when they supposed to have been protecting the Nigerian State from Invaders And Terrorists that are fighting NIGERIA! The military has lost the confidence of Nigerians and therefore no more have the moral standing to identify themselves before Nigerians! I was traveling to Lagos when my driver pulled over at Sapele to carry a man who was actually going to Lagos also. But in Ondo State, he formalized with fellow passengers that he was a Military man but chose to be on musty for fear of EndSars Protesters! And I wondered! has NIGERIA deteriorated to such a state? The answer was a fat YES because the Military man feared for his life right inside the vehicle!
Fellow Southern Nigerians, be wise and Arm yourselves now because the WAR coming to Nigeria cannot be avoided, therefore Arm and Defend yourselves from being slaughtered by marauding Fulani Army. Me Ova! Ughwu kpovaha, Ure to Ologe!

suzero • 3 years ago

When you cant rely on national newspaper for verifiable then social media madness thrives.. what is the correlation between the headline and the body of the story... none of people interviewed spoke about any group invading military formations and killing soldiers which would have been the obvious big news..
I don't know what jornalist stands to gain by stucking up parnick in an already tensed atmosphere with reckless reportage only to retrieve an apologise later

Can the Nigeria police please try to provide protection for the Nigeria military.

The military are under protected by the brave police.
Please protect the military so that we can have military ready to face the civilians in tollgate or south east whenever need be.

They really need OPC to protect the military.
Unfortunately, chief of army staff is deaf and dumb when the aggressor are Fulanis. The idiot will not make any statement but when Igboho sneezes, he will be forming a hard man.
I don't care about anyone in Nigeria uniform since the day Army shoot down Nigeria at Lekki toll gate.

The last protest the youths engaged in, which actually rocked the nation and was on the verge of rocking the world, was immediately tagged a tribal protest by the politicians and the youths bought into it. That was how it fizzled out. Revolution will never work in Nigeria given how we all are deeply tribally entrenched.

"Jonathan is clueless, dumb. He must leave", they were all screaming. Now, all of a sudden, they have all gone blind, deaf and dumb. They no longer know how to coin abusive words in English. Their dictionary has disappeared.

No my dear, not just disappeared. What actually happened was that the massive ocean of abusive words simply dried up, all of a sudden.

Ologunkutere • 3 years ago

If we are to forget about Jonathan’s victimisation we might as well forget about Buhari’s absolute incompetence, nepotism, extreme corruption/insecurity under his watch & the multitude of failures. Governance is a continuum...adopt the good & discard the bad. Otherwise that viscous cycle of discarding & disparaging everything done by a predecessor (if not an ally), then do 1000X worse. OBJ/Yaradua/GEJ’s governments had their shortcomings but you have to give them credit for making good efforts on different fronts

Vita in Diaspora • 3 years ago

"Plus, check well, nobody is in charge".

Exactly why I cried out about the missing critics. My comment wasn't an attempt to exempt Jonathan from the rot of Nigeria but a question why those who made Aso Rock uninhabitable for Jonathan with their attacks have all gone blind, deaf and dum even when the situation is now a thousand times worse than it was under Jonathan. How does one explain that?

Reginald Dandeson • 3 years ago

Simple! The explanation for that is: because they are now benefitting from the rot. Chikena!!

ukoette ibekwe • 3 years ago

The Nigerian armed forces have a dirty chip on their shoulders. The have committed almost their entire resources to fight ESN who are fighting terrorists imported into the country by the government and the Fulanis and have neglected and abandoned the North to the mercy of Boko Haram, bandits, and whatever else the want to name the islamic terrorists.

judeskyla Bardooo • 3 years ago

yea ..very soon Shekau will hoist his caliphate flag in Abuja

Vincent Duruji • 3 years ago

Mediocrity has taken over the nation. If the bastion of our Defense can be attacked and overrun, what says poor, Defenseless Nigerians? A nation under siege.

At present, it is clear Nigeria does not have the military, the intelligence capability or the diplomatic clout to pursue a serious escalation against even a rag tag terrorists group, such as Boko Haram. What a Shame!

Emeka • 3 years ago

Nigeria is dead because she has destroyed so many innocent lives, fulanis are fighting their emergency battle because their subtle takeover got aborted by IPOB under Mazi Kanu.

I don't know what the Christian soldiers in the contraption are doing. Happy Easter.

Den_Umeh • 3 years ago

We have a dysfunctional army that is only there to protect terrorists, as directed by the Terrorist in chief. Nigerians, get your arms and defend yourselves!!!

Reginald Dandeson • 3 years ago

How do they get them? And from what sources of funds??

James Hill • 3 years ago

Zoojeria. Spit!

Theophilus • 3 years ago

A nation under siege yet politicians are busy scheming for 2023. The doctors to attend to the few survivors are on strike. You can't point on someone to say he's in charge. The invalid in Aso Rock is cooling off in London hospital under the watch of former colonial doctors. Nigerians wish he never return.
The service chiefs have embezzled arms budget and thrown the combatants into danger. I've not heard where a nations military becomes as vulnerable as this, dying in scores when there is no conventional war. I guess BAT knew of this before advocating for the enlistment of 50m youth in the military

Reginald Dandeson • 3 years ago

Please don't talk about that bullion van thief. He is the architect of what misfortunes Nigerians are facing now, through his deep-seated selfish interest.

TERRY4BRANDY THE GREAT • 3 years ago

Look at what Nigerian politicians have turned the country into. When bandits have been having the audacity to invade the arena where the military is, killed scores of them and abducted ten, it means no one is safe in Nigeria.

ukoette ibekwe • 3 years ago

It's not the politicians. It's the military. The military is in charge of the government in Nigeria. In fact the military is the problem of Nigeria. The have neglected their primary duty of protecting Nigeria to being the oppressor of Nigerians. They attack and murder those who dare to criticize politicians. The aid and abate terrorists.

MatthewsI • 3 years ago

So sad and unfortunate how these so-called bandits/gunmen have turned the military and police into 'SOFT TARGETS.'
