What "1967 borders"? All we ever had was armistice lines.

Dajjal • 5 years ago

The borders of Sykes/Picot.

KathiMR • 5 years ago

Wow. Well it says Abbas has to approve that. But he is likely between a Rock & hard place. Israel has protected him. But not approving could also put him in jeopardy.

Could get very messy. Confident Israel would win, but people would die. Among them Jews & innocent Palestinians civilians that their leaders like to leave in the way to act as shields.

David Crawford • 5 years ago

There are no 'innocent' muslims and there never has been such a people as 'Palestinians' They are a marketing myth. The Jordanian and Egyptian Muslims masquerading as the mythical 'Philistines/Palestinians teach all 'Palestinian' children from their first breath to hate Yisra'el. There are no innocents in that place.
We in the western world see children as innocent. Clear the scales from your eyes and see it for what it is. Hamas, as with all Muslime terrorist clubs, will not stop until every 'Jew' is dead and the land of Yisra'el is no more. They will not succeed and will be destroyed themselves but that is the situation in Gaza. There is no peace with Muslims if you are 'Jewish'

Min Dona • 5 years ago

In the Bible - ALL the Philistines were WIPED OUT.
Read the “Prophets” (God’s prophets He chose) where GOD spoke - and the northern coast peoples were destroyed!

Palestinians are NOT Philistines.

KathiMR • 5 years ago

Not all Palestinians are Muslims! Some are Christians.

Hamas of course is a militant Muslim terrorist Group. They don’t care about their own people.

I think it was Netanyahu said that Israel uses its missiles to protect its people. Hamas use its people to protect its missiles.

Hamas controls Gaza. PA controls other territories. & had not been as militant.

Recognition of Israel by Palestine? Was there ever one to begin with?

NO.

Nope, my thoughts exactly.

"Tragedy is the difference between what is and what could have been".
Abba Eban

Steve • 5 years ago

No, the tragedy after Oslo was a corrupt comedy that has played out ever since. The "Palestinian" Arabs (who've supposedly renounced terrorism) commit an terrorist outrage like blowing up a bus, a market, a restaurant- any place where a large number of Israeli Jews congregate. The Palestinian Authority then issues a statement in English for Western consumption (reported fatuously and uncritically by the fake new mass media) piously deploring the violence. Then they celebrate this "martyrdom operation" in their own Arabic language media, and the Palestinian Authority cuts a check in the neighborhood of $35,000 to the family of the suicide bomber. And politicians of at the State Department, the EU and the UN repeat, "The "peace process must continue." Repeat a few hundred times. Their tactics (suicide bombing, knifings, incendiary kites, kidnappings) may vary, but their goal (a Judenrein Arab state on the ruins of Israel) remains the same.

In 1993 Rabin and Peres were fools (perhaps well meaning, but fools nonetheless) for trusting the PLO. Those in 2018 who still mindlessly promote this "peace process" are guilty of treason, not folly.

charliematerne • 5 years ago

The problem seems to be that everyone is concerned that the "peace process must continue." rather than concerning themselves with actual "Peace"

Steve • 5 years ago

And that was obvious from the very beginning of dialogue with the Arabs.

During the debate in Israel over Oslo (which initially had widespread public support from the war weary public ) The issue of Palestinian trustworthiness and a reversion to terrorism was raised. I believe it was Rabin (who was coaxed into supporting Oslo by the terminally naive and panglossian Peres) who said that if the Palestinians broke their word, Arafat could live out his days as the mayor of Gaza. Of course, Israel could not renounce or rollback Oslo because of Palestinian bad faith, no matter how obviously fake and farcical the so called "peace process" was. And politicians who staked their careers on it (Rabin, Peres, Barak, and later even Sharon with his unilateral evacuation of Gaza communities) could not admit the bankruptcy of the "peace process".

Excellent time to give Abass and his people what they want. They want nothing to do with us/Israel, right? So, Israel, stop supplying anything to them. No fuel, no water, no electricity, no mail, no tax revenues, no medical access or supplies, no use of Israeli roads or services of any kind.

And do that to Hamas while you/we are at it.

Min Dona • 5 years ago

Exactly. You don’t supply the people who have murdered your people, and commit continual treasonous acts and speech against your very existence.
The Israeli constitution does not have those requirements!

What the hell is wrong with the Israeli government?

They say Jews are strong, but there are inherent weaknesses that the Israeli Jews haven’t gotten over from hundreds of years of anti semitism.Makes me cry thinking about it.

CHAZEK!

And no jobs in Israel to them either. Close the border.

Phil Lesh Fan • 5 years ago

I had not considered the jobs issue. It makes sense, in that the people ruled by Fatah and Hamas appear to need a kick in their collective tuchus' to see how much their governments, which they elected and allow to continue, have messed things up.

No jobs in Israel
No water from Israel
No electricity from Israel
No fuel from Israel
No nothing from Israel for those who want us to cease to exist.

The only information that counts is that Israel is forever, guaranteed by the Creator of the universe!

Mark Strazynski • 5 years ago

Great news! Now Israel can scrap the Oslo agreement and annex Judea and Samaria since it is, and was, Jewish to begin with.

Mark Lewis Brecker, Esq. • 5 years ago

GREAT POINT. ONE I HAD MADE PRIOR TO YOURS, ALBEIT PRIOR TO READING YOURS.

norseman • 5 years ago

Annexation probably means that Israel would have to grant citizenship, including voting rights, to all residents. That’s what Abbas wants, together with some agreement with Jordan. Israel has already said ‘No’ to this option.
To expel 1,5 mill inhabitants is not easy in practice. To where? Jordan doesn’t want them.
Another option is to give the pals ‘internal self-rule’. Who thinks they will accept? Violent struggle will continue stronger than before. So; What other options exist?

Andy • 5 years ago

only annex area c then only about 90,000 vermin may get some form of path to citizenship based on behaviour and singing Hatikva and kissing the flag of Israel

David Crawford • 5 years ago

How do you void all peace agreements with Yisra'el when you have never honored one of them you lying scumbag. There has never been a peace agreement that has lasted between Muslimes and Yisra'el. Such agreements are merely tools for Muslimes to exert pressure on Yisra'el and catch them off guard because in a civilised world, your word is your bond.
In Islam, lying to deceive the enemy is lawful and good. That is the principal reason that no Islamic country has ever produced anything other than corruption, greed and violence. It is the way of Islam. It cannot change and Oman is pissing in the wind in calling for Yisra'el's recognition in the Islamic world.
Of course it defies logic to recognise that the USA considers the fiefdom of Saudi Arabia an ally when over 3/4 of all Muslims involved in the 9/11 attacks were Saudi Arabian.
They hate Yisra'el and they hate the western progress and freedom because Islam has no endearing qualities. They certainly hate the USA even more than Yisra'el.
