Hi Fuzzy, it's actually depends in which country you are in Europe. I live in Norway and there is some antisemitism here but I don't think it's anything like as bad as Sweden for example. I lived in Iceland for many years and I can tell you that my Icelandic friends are furious about this band getting into Eurovision. I was born in the UK but I am also Canadian although I have never lived in Canada, my mother was from Alberta. I was on holiday in Canada in 2017, we were thinking of moving there when I retire. My understanding is that one of the basic tenants of Sharia is that criticism of Islam is not allowed. I pointed out to the next generation of Canadian intellectuals that if they wanted to criticize one or another of the many medieval practices often found in Islam, particularly in relation to women, and these practices are not limited just to hell holes like Saudi Arabia, but will be found in private homes in Toronto, they will be utterly unable to, for example, help the victims of domestic abuse in Muslim households. In fact if this motion M-103 forms the basis of later legislation then the only people who will in practice be able to comment on Islam will be Muslims. I am quite sure that the sponsors of M-103 will at some later stage attempt to use this motion as a shoe horn for actual legislation.
