As a son of holocaust survivors, I would love to hand over Strasser to Isis or Hamas. Then he will finally learn the meaning of being a Jew, the hard way. I wished my grandparents and great grandparents had a Jewish state to go to before WWII. Liberal Jews are just plain stupid and cowards.

I had a friend in the Detroit area who once stated how disappointed she was that she and her husband had not faithfully practiced and taught their two daughters the importance of adhering to the Jewish faith. The daughters knew generally about the Jewish faith but did not practice it. Perhaps the lack of knowledge that the younger Jewish generation lacks can be laid at the feet of their parents.

I am also the son of holocaust survivors. I was brought up by my parents to be a tolerant person, accepting others as equals and not hating anyone due to her/his, creed, gender and ethnicity. Reading your comments, I must wonder what lessons you have learned from the holocaust.

Abe, I am a very tolerant person. And I still believe the two state solution is the best option for peace. But, how do you make peace to a people who not just want the West Bank or Jerusalem, but also Haifa and Tel Aviv. We gave the Palestinians all of Gaza and instead of peace we got war. One lesson I did learn from the Holocaust and that liberal Jews will never understand, is that when they say they want to kill you, BELIEVE THEM!

Thanks Abe, and I do respect your views as well. I know we both have a unique perspective of Judiasm taught by parents lucky enough to have survived. I guess the point I was trying to make was that this Strasser guy hasn't faced virulent antisemitism during his life. He and all young Jews should appreciate the Jewish state of Israel.
