Travel Weekly has a civic and moral duty to name and shame those travel companies that are giving HOLIDAY VOUCHERS instead of Refund Credit Notes to their customers of cancelled holidays. Holiday vouchers are not protected by Atol if the travel company goes bust and customers will not get a penny back! That is outrageous.
What's wrong Kane, is nobody really interested in your pathetic rants.
Sorry. Not trolling, you really would not be worth the effort.
Not trolling just being very emotional / hostile on an anonymous basis for no obvious reason. Assuming that you are also writing the Kane P posts, and others, you are putting a lot of time into this. Hope you have a better day today and do something more constructive.
A crooks charter for travel companies, and burden for the taxpayer. Well customers are still legally entitled to a cash refund if that's what they want, and if they have any sense that's what they will still demand.
Loveholidays. This is not a green light validating you to withhold customer funds. If they ask for a refund, they must receive it in 14 days.
About time...this announcement should have been made nearly 4 months ago. Doesn't make the world right, but just gives some much needed official credibility to RCN's. A lot of the debate/friction/silliness could have been avoided if Government had issued their statement at the end of March.
Random troll and nothing to do with me!
Deep and unending gratitude to you Kane. The world is a far better place thanks to your thoughtful, insightful and clear thinking.
Why anyone has ever suggested that a publicly seeking super ego could be behind your endless contributions is a complete mystery.
Keep up the good work, we await your next masterful contribution, even if it is a carbon copy of your previous ones.
perhaps you can clarify - are the government simply now agreeing to pay out refunds on an RCN -even if the operator is still trading !!
Yes if the customer has a RCN and the travel company goes bust, Atol will reimburse them the money. However, Travel Weekly has a civic and moral duty to name and shame those travel companies that are giving HOLIDAY VOUCHERS instead of Refund Credit Notes to their customers of cancelled holidays. Holiday vouchers are not protected by Atol if the travel company goes bust and customers will not get a penny back! That is outrageous.
No
I think that the very reasonable clarification you are seeking should come from the Transport Minister himself.
There again, expecting clarity from a man of such exceptional inability might prove to be a little optimistic
Maybe his colleague Boris the Lord of Confusion and Contradiction might be able to help.
Will Travel Weekly name and shame the travel companies who have issued worthless HOLIDAY VOUCHERS rather than Government Atol backed Refund Credit Notes?
