Unfortunately the industry does not speak with one voice and has never done so to my knowledge. Everyone fights their own corner. Quash Quarantine attracted awesome coverage, hat's off to Paul and George, but personally I think the FCO advice was the bigger issue. The quarantine was never enforceable and if the FCO advise against travel you cannot even go in the first place.

The real issue now is customers don't want to go.

The rules are too complicated and changeable. The product itself impacted (out with in-flight drinks and on with the masks). Worries about getting refunds if the trip is cancelled (hmm...I wonder why?). Personally I don't see demand coming back for months yet. Which is why we needed Government help yesterday. We got zip. Was there any coverage of that? The Telegraph kindly ran a quote from me but otherwise I saw nothing. The travel industry has no voice and that showed yesterday. We are on our own to get through this now.
