Older people who have been shielding are naturally cautious, but otherwise I would agree with Kane, backed by our own research, which shows that many silver travellers are not phased. They have spent much of the last three months cancelling and rebooking holidays, and they trust their favourite operators and agents to look after them when it's safe to travel again. Carpe diem!

I think your right that there will be a split between those who will and those who won't. Just personally think there will be more Will nots in this agree group and particular worry about cruising after all the images and media hype about plague ships.

Many great points Steve. Would only add:

1) Maybe all of that / maybe not! I still expect a vaccine out this year. China has 8 under development!

2) People's reaction to COVID-19 reflects their feelings towards risk. I would avoid generalisations about that, inter alia, relating to age. Many older people I have spoken to are the most defiant. Some of them have more serious health worries, already manifest, and are undaunted.

I think COVID-19 will changed the World and people's habits but still predict a vibrant travel industry.

Agree on your point about age guys. Guilty of being too generalist!!!
