Providing the capacity to do this it could be effective in restricting the movement of the virus and, at the same time, restore consumer confidence to travel. Until we have a virus this may be the best option and could become the new, global norm.
Certainly better than letting anyone arrive with Covid-19 when they will interact with airport staff, fellow passengers and anyone else they encounter between airport and their place of self-isolation,
An extreme example could be a family, with one or more members having the virus, landing at Heathrow then travelling all the way to somewhere such as Durham. Believe me some people would be sufficiently selfish and inconsiderate!
