Our UK Ministers and Politicians should also make decisions based on Economic reality and they should weigh and balance the Science against it. Unfortunately due to the Government's implementation of a 14 Days Quarantine measure, the UK travel industry will enter an economic dystopia, not a new normal. We will suffer severe economic contagion for several years.

As always Hugh, pragmatic, thoughtful, factual. The media has much to answer, sadly the reality is 1600 people die a day in the UK, of which 450 a day from cancer - I fear this will increase due to people avoiding hospitals and cancelled appointments. Perspective is now required to move forward and crank up the economy.

Very well expressed, but sadly as soon as you mention such a logic to people they immediately quote you stories of people dying from covid-19 and accuse you of not caring. That's sadly where many people are at having had a 9 week diet of covid death focused news.
