I booked my holiday with first choice but I fly with TUI and if I had booked it with TUI it was going to be more expensive for the same holiday and date
Why would TUI continue selling their TUI holidays in a Hays shop in places where there is already a TUI store in the same town? Surely, it is easier for customers to book a TUI holiday in a TUI store?
Misinformed article, store closure numbers are closer to 100 by the end of 2020 not 34 with no plans to relocate stores or staff.
As almost 30 stores have been closed since May 2019 and in early October the next 34 stores were informed of closures all the way up until March 2020. There is upwards of another 30 stores who's lease is up towards the end of 2020 all of which will not be renewed. And as TUI in many regions is on a recruitment ban there is currently no vacancies with the majority of staff having to take redundancy.Lastly they've cut numbers in their head office too, all staff have been warned not to inform customers or risk losing their redundancy - hence why this has not been in the media - the reason this is on Travel Weekly is because they've just announced at a conference that 34 stores will close - however staff were informed months ago. It is also a fact that staff who have been made redundant and want to remain with the business can not move to the airline and if they want to stay within retail they have to apply for the job and go through the whole interview process.
Maybe you are misinformed?
Yeah but what says that article is right and this one is "misinformed" as you put it?
Anonymous is definitely not misinformed I am a former tui employee and have been told that I will be made redundant after 15 years of employment
I worked for 25 years checkmate
Good for you. I've worked for Tui for 25 years and I know you're 13 years old because no one cares about forum disputes between 2 People. You've just made an alt account to make it look like you're right. How sad.
I am work in one of the shops closing March 2020. I have already been told, and I’m being made redundant. I have been asked to not tell customers or friends. If I do my redundancy is halved
The shops have already closed dummy. Why would a bust firm still be selling holidays?
Kat is clearly seeking attention and embarrassing herself on here. All the comments from current TUI employees - and I am another who has been informed I will lose my job before the end of the year and not allowed to inform customers and in my store only one staff member has been relocated. So do not comment Kat when you clearly are simple and confused
You're spitting the dummy and I'm the one embarrassing myself. Hilarious that you think that. You have no proof of anything you say is true you're just some random person on a forum that claims to be in the know. Now you're trying to address other people as if anyone cares about some argument on the internet.
