errr "the system has worked"? Yes, to an extent, but you might want to have qualified that a little Mr. Tanzer.
The system is working, if you are a TC package holiday consumer that just wants a full refund within 14-60 days. What about those that still wanted their holiday, but to re-book costs them 3 x the original price?
If you are a consumer whom had a forward booking due to travel in days/weeks following 23sep, with freedom travel group for example, and wanted to keep that holiday, then many have had disruption, as in cases where bookings were dynamically packaged, the bed, and other single component suppliers, did not receive any visibility or certainty over what forward bookings would or wouldn't be paid, so in absence of certainty of payment, cancellations have occurred with clients on 'atol protected' holidays arriving to find they have no accommodation and their holiday is potentially ruined. Clarity and visibility is starting to come through in last few working days, but damage done in forst 3-4 days of chaos will only become clearer in coming weeks.
If "the system has worked", we better all pray we never get a day where there is a failure, and the system does NOT work
