Heartbreaking on so many levels.

Easter Sunday the climax of holy week the resurrection of Christ our
Lord, going from darkness into light. The most important date in the
Christian calendar a time of hope for all humankind, but we wake up
to the horror on Easter Sunday that the evil face of terrorism has
struck yet again, this time in Sri Lanka, Not just at the Christian
community celebrating mass, but also tourist hotels while people are
having breakfast. Even during the bloody civil war tourists were not
a target and amazingly tourism carried on the only place out of
bounds was the Tamil area of the country. Indeed our thoughts and
prayers are with the people of Sri Lanka it may seem like a cliché
but you would have to have a heart of stone not to feel anything when
you see the dreadful pictures in the papers and the TV coverage. In
the words of the old spiritual hymn “We shall overcome some day”
and indeed we must, good in the end will overcome evil, we have to
stay steadfast in our beliefs. Do not let hate of these people
consume your hearts and twist your thinking most people are good, if
you fall down in the street most people will come to your aid to see
if you are all right. The old saying “Keep the faith” is more
relevant today than it has ever been.
