i have done some investigating into the premeditated plan for Monarchs failure
30 days ago Qatar Airways won a tender for this flying...yes 30 days ago.
Monarch fate was sealed well over a month ago
Titan Airways have been the facilitator for the repatriation and let us not forget the ATT
spent over 25m £ last year on contingency planning involving Titan Airways and
United Airlines - I am hoping the Credit Card companies can rely on a hefty credit back from Titan and other carriers who made money last year from these obscene charges as nothing ever operated save the ferry flights.
If the brokers fee is just 5 percent then we are talking 2.5 m £ in un required cost
to the credit card companies as the CAA have enough idle bodies to manage this themselves or bring in Roger Allard from the long grass to help.
i see a battle royal in Court between the credit card suppliers and the UKCAA where
all will be clear with total financial transparency being a obligation on the part of Titan
and the UKCAA
The Government did not want any bad press with their conference this week but i
predict the ATT will be paying a lot more than the 5 £ m quoted by the UKCAA
and if i were a merchant supplier i would be getting my expert Aviation Team in place now
to dispute any charges for this premediated event on their ticket...
Yes that other party is the Credit card companies will pay....
I HOPE THEY CHALLENGE EVERY LAST CENT FOR THIS AS I FURTHER UNDERSTAND ALL THESE AIRCRAFT HAVE NOT BEEN FIXED DIRECT WITH QATAR
AIRWAYS BUT VIA A BROKER..WHY COULD THE CAA NOT CONTRACT QATAR AIRWAYS ITSELF?ITS OBVIOUS THEY HAVE A GLUT OF AIRCRAFT IDLE WITH THEIR DISPUTE IN THE REGION
SO WHATS THE BROKER ADDED ON TO THIS COST?
THERE NEEDS TO BE TOTAL FINANCIAL TRANSPARENCY.
Its ridiclous to say it wasnt the CAA who
Brought Monarch down when it was clear
Upto Sunday there were onward negotiations
to have the Atol renewed
If the Monarch Directors felt the company was insolvent Why go to this trouble and further humiliation of going for a renewal and
Have the option to Voluntary put the company into administration weeks ago?
250 000 packages on a 3 m rotational seat
Programne is 10 percent after empty legs
It does not constitute a joining at the hip
Of its business by any means
Once the CAA delayed the approval it was
A death sentence to monarch as forward
Bookings and cash flows would be non
Existant and thus would ensure the business
Was insolvent and left Directors no choice
Come Sunday!
Why is there all this spin and no truth?
The Atol system is out of date and it would
Serve the industry better if the merchant providers be the one that regulates as there the ones taking the risk and woukd be more
independent and business driven as
Opposed to the current drivers in the ukcaa
Which is poltical when reviewing Atol which is more to do with Personality than fact or
Any business acumen
The CAA in any event will only be regulating
3 or 4 companies of any significance soon
As all competition is being killed.
Nothing new is starting and merchant services will be even harder to obtaian after
This failure
Time for change !
