They still need to carry their documents if they are flying through to Botswana or Namibia though. I wonder if there will be a change there...
Finally. However South African families still have to cart a suitcase full of documents whenever they travel abroad.
Lets hope they informed the staff at our SA embassies/consulates because it is a case of they are never sure how to advise travelers.
Hopefully DIRCO has also been active on informing staff.... Their website is down when I wanted to have a look so one has no idea.
I suppose "half a loaf is better than none".We are thankful that someone has finally seen sense and scrapped the UBC for FOREIGN inbound tourists - what s pity that sense did not totally prevail and that UBC were also scrapped for Outbound South African children . Or is the South African passport not considered to be on the same level as those from other countries ?
