Strength to all of you. For those of you whose operations are in SA, I would be interested to explore the scope for the Tourism Conservation Fund to support your local enterprise development initiatives (or to help you develop these). Plse check out our www or contact me on 0833066288. Paul Z

Fantastic initiatives! It is great to see responsible tourism at play. My burden however is to see many black brothers and sisters working for well established companies in the industry gunning for executive positions.
We have to move from just bringing the bread to the table to enable local people powering their own lieu context.

Great initiatives and I applaud all. However from a publishing point of view, I also see a missed opportunity here. There are many grassroot initiatives flourishing (and have flourished for many years) that showcase how, with limited budgets and through small companies, there is much more being done for social upliftment than the majority of the larger companies do. Initiatives that go beyond marketing. Can I invite the editor to write about for instance Coffeebeans Routes and Uthando in Cape Town, Calabash Tours in Nelson Mandela Bay and last but not least TAHS-SA in Limpopo? They were both regional and national winners of Lilizela Award 2018, as well as winners of the very first WedoTourism Lilizela Award. And I am sure there are many more out there!
