What further compounds the problem is that Namibia has the same legislation as South Africa had - but they have not repealed the requirement for the UBC for travelling minors. This impacts 'unintentionally' on South Africa's destination status as many visitors to Namibia transit SA first, and this prevents them travelling to our country as well.

This is a scandal!!! This bungling will not only hinder tourism which is an excellent job-creator, but will cause the loss of jobs in the industr. Foreign operators will hear of the utter confusion and worse, of children refused boarding, and they will offsell SA. Trades Unions, if they care about job creation, should get involved immediately.
