On the one hand, government says it wants to create jobs and boost tourism. On the other hand, government puts obstacles in the way of tourism growth, in the form of visa requirements (even for New Zealand!), unabridged birth certificates, complete chaos at the NPTR which means tour operators cannot get operating licenses for their vehicles, and failure to deal with rampant crime, roadside corruption by traffic cops, and the disintegrating roads full of potholes in Mpumalanga and elsewhere. The list goes on. Mr President, words will not fix the economy. Only action will. Please get rid of these obstacles and watch the tourism sector create jobs.
