It's weird how many odd things you read about through out the month, writing them down has been a great way to add a little extra to the monthly updates, I'm glad you're liking them.

Thank you Weenie! :) I think without a doubt, the savings reports are worth sticking around to post, I attribute most of my 3 year achievements to them. Journaling is like having little life-assessments with yourself each month, checking in with yourself to keep yourself on track, re-assess, and hold yourself accountable, it's great! Long after my general blogging steam has waned, there's still a lot of value in these updates.

Thank you for the garden props, it's definitely been harder than I imagined, and we will do a few things differently next year, but it's been worth it :) Oooo courgettes, I need to plant some of those! I want to do potatos and onions too... Need to find somewhere I can dry the onions.

Consider a water bed! It may sound 70s but it's warm in winter and cool in summer.

Ah man I'd be terrified of it leaking!! But I guess the same could happen with the pod bed. I'd definitely need to disallow my cat from jumping on the bed :)

Lol, they have a set up so when they leak (which actually isn't that often at all) there's no epic flood. Our cat loves ours, has slept on it most days for the last 12 years ha! We just renewed ours after those 12 years and that was c700 quid. More hygienic too.
Anyway congrats on the progress. It's inspiring

I can't get that mattress here, I would if I moved to the USA though... But yeah electricity bill would go through the roof.

The initial FIRE number was 300k GBP total (including house equity.) I haven't done the budget since moving to Sweden so I don't know what my new FIRE number will be. Also it's just theoretical as a lot of it will be in the pension, and I wouldn't quit to RE and leave my wife working... So it will just be a 'lean FIRE' badge really and I'll continue like normal :P

So yeah, maybe I'll have some 60 SEK prosecco? :))
