You've been getting into all sorts recently, very interesting stuff to read about. I really want to read that Reddit thread, sounds mad!

Hah! I think the most frivolous spending I did back in the day was going and getting a Five Guys with you ;)

I've started noting down things I find interesting through-out the month on Obsidian, it's nice to just dump them all in my monthly post.

The £7000 you've spent feels frivolous to you but most of that is on furniture and items for your new home. but compared to other people (particularly those not aiming for FIRE), it's nothing really. As you pointed out, you are wanting to spend for some enjoyment and what better way than to invest in a different mode of transport to suit your environs! Brilliant! When I was working in Stockholm, I only went round those islands on a tour boat - would have loved to have explored more.

I nearly clicked on that big Reddit post but daren't as I just don't have time to get lost down a rabbit hole right now - will check out another time!

We've definitely opened up a lot more beautiful locations now we have Kayaks :)

Yeah the Reddit post is a massive struggle to read on the mobile app as if your app refreshes one night, you'll have to scroll for about 30 minutes until you reach the point you left it at.
