Mohammed was a barbaric terrorist who founded the evil Satanic cult of Islam. Islam is not a religion of peace in any definition of the word, but a death cult in which those who choose to leave it are marked for elimination. Minor infractions, many not recognized in any society other than in the Muslim world, can lead to stoning or honor killing buy family members.
Mohammed was evil and should be represented as such in any cartoons drawn.

Two wrongs do not make a right. Islam is wrong and drawing offensive cartoons is wrong. No good can come from the drawing of the cartoons.

Instead we should lead Muslims to the truth by starting with what is true in the Quaran:
1. The OT and NT are the uncorrupted Word of God.
2. Jesus was born of a virgin.
3. Jesus was sinless, did many miracles and is a prophet.
4. If you do not uphold the Torah and the Gospel you stand on nothing.

All these things should lead a Muslim to the Bible and Jesus Christ.

Jim, I love you brother, but I am having great difficulty agreeing with you on this one. Had the Islamists merely drawn caricatures of Christ or westerners, then certainly we ought to turn the other cheek as in Matthew 5:39, where God speaks of evil wrongdoings that don't result in grave bodily harm. The Truth is, however, they have declared war! They rape and murder us for not bowing to their false god. I am forced to consider instead, Luke 22:36, where the Lord allows us to sell our garment to buy a sword, as He did when He prepared His disciples for missionary work. I think the Dutch Anti-Islamization Party, at least in this case, is fighting the Islamist "holy war" with restraint and with respect for life where indeed the sword would be justified.

But what good will the cartoons do? Will it result in the murder of Dutch Anti-Islamization Party members or worse yet innocent by-standers?
The colored pencils are a far cry from the sword.

Obviously, the EU is responsible for allowing these largely-unvetted Muslims from entering European countries creating the opportunities for these violent acts.

Europeans [and eventually Americans?] have to fight to defend themselves. They need to oust leaders like Angela, petition their gov'ts to prosecute these immigrated criminals instead of giving them immunity and to stop the immigration flow and to deport those already in Europe, especially the violent ones and they need to protect themselves: escorting their women in dangerous areas etc.

I have, with limited success, shared the gospel with multiple Muslims and will continue doing so. Of course, none of them have committed any violence against me.

Perhaps the cartoon will serve to further expose the enemy and the threat they pose to their society. Perhaps it is their way of saying, "You will NOT come to our country and limit our speech!"

Yes, we know it will! History has proven them rapists and murderers. That is the war they started. When they take their "jihad" to the civilian population, though, it is murder and they should be punished accordingly. Points 2 - 4 are correct. I'm not sure about the first point though. There is no reference to OT or NT in the Quran, but rather, there are references to "Torah," "Zabur," and "Injeel". These refer to the scriptures given to Moses, David, and Jesus, respectively. There is no doubt that the OT and NT do contain at least parts of the said scriptures, but according to the Quran, much of the said scriptures have not been preserved in the present day OT and NT.
Muslims needn't be led to the Bible and Jesus Christ because we already believe in what is authentic of the Bible and in Jesus Christ.
Nevertheless, I like your approach.

So, a declaration of war, then. Considering how the Muslims have overrun the Dutch and are changing their laws by sheer numbers of immigrants, you can't blame them for wanting to fight back. Kind of like many here in the U.S. feel about how Hispanic immigration is changing our way of life. It doesn't help when our own government treats them like a protected class and there is no assimilation. I'm all for free speech. Say what you will, but be ready to back it up with your life. The most committed wins.

On a side note, if I remember my history of Christian violence during the Crusades as so often mentioned to excuse Islamic violence, it was about repelling Islam in one of the many times they have tried to dominate the whole known world. Christianity is now a religion of peace. Islam has never been nor ever will be a religion of peace.

Madam, I couldn't possibly know what you're going on about. JustPassNthru was probably way past due for reincarnated on Logan's Carousel and that's probably why Disqus sign up had become difficult. Perhaps, when looking back through past archives he'd noticed that with well over 2,000 comments, his writing skills had declined over the years and the diminished fellow didn't want to be reminded of long past glories and won arguments or the cruel ways he achieved his goals? I should think my own style(?) of writing and political cynicism are hard to confuse with anybody else's. Do you people really think that this contest will prove a thing or so? Before getting in to the debate do you guys can provide any single evidence from the history or books that Prophet Mohammed had abused any person or any former prophets? If you do read Quran and understand the teachings of Islam, you will be surprise to know how peaceful the religion is we, accept Christians and Jews and believe they have right to practice their religion.

Small group of Muslims got distract from their path and have interpret the teachings of Islam to benefit themselves or as per their agenda we believe they are terrorist and they are ruining Islam as a religion and they are so they are more enemies to us then you. I would like to see the “Draw Mohammed” contest offer a special prize for the artist who presents the best depiction of Mohammed that also satirizes a previously produced work of anti-Christian “art”. Say, a portrait of Mohammed made out of elephant dung, or a plastic star and crescent dipped in a vat of artist’s urine and titled “P*** Mohammed”.

In this way, we can expose liberal hypocrisy while we demonstrate how Islam is totally incompatible with Western Civilization.
