Would reading this article in a classroom in Texas result in firing the teacher?

The obligatory "Both Sides!" paragraph in this column is especially weak.

The authors cite actions taken by ICE and CBP during the Obama and Biden administrations, actions they took on their own with their independent authority from Congress, as if they are the equivalent of the direct orders the Trump administration implementing the baby snatching policy and other atrocities. They even cite a policy Biden ordered ended, and was forced to maintain by court order, as if it was his policy.

Everything in that paragraph should have been included under "the ordinary operation of the immigration system" in the next paragraph.

And the author was a senior immigration advisor to Obama.
