Last Friday night's viewing on CNN and MSNBC was almost as rewarding as watching the 2016 election night coverage. And eerily similar.

Chris Matthew's was out of his mind. Had I been near him, I would have tossed a Xanax in his mouth.

Stop the Insanity • 5 years ago

Maddow and Matthew were 100% convinced that 1) Collusion occurred and 2) This would end with Trump no longer being President - For them, this is EXACTLY like election night all over again. They simply can't process it and hence, unintelligible babbling ensues.

Fishface222 • 5 years ago

Nadler and Schiff told them so. It has to be true...

Drz Pearl • 5 years ago

Two professional liars, let's subpoena shiff and see what "evidence" he keeps babbling about. Let's shut him up once and for all.

duncanmc • 5 years ago

That bastard ought to be sued for defamation.

duncanmc • 5 years ago

Former Fat Daddy Nads and Current Pencil Neck Schiff are a couple of prize winners for sure. The Dems sure can pick'em. They know they can't take the president down, now but their plan, in conjunction with the media 5th column, is to make Americans so sick of the perpetual noise around Trump that they'll give up and allow him to go away in 2020. &^^%% them AND THE HORSE THEY RODE IN ON! MAGA!

dontucker • 5 years ago

A DAM SHIFTY Representative will never let it rest.

About as wrong as they were on November 9, 2019. I'm surprised somebody's still paying them to express their opinions for a living.

duncanmc • 5 years ago

CNN operates near a net loss. It's a pure propaganda outlet now. If the true SHTF happens, their "reporters" will be doing all their "live shots" from bunkers.

And for the gentler souls among us, NO that wasn't a threat against the mighty demi-gods of the 4th estate.

The term is "demented"

Mdog1 • 5 years ago

Yes, and it's weird that these same people get mad when they hear that the Earth will NOT be unlivable in 12 years. I think they just live for rage, hate, and destruction.

Michael Goldman • 5 years ago

They won't ever be able to process it,

Lollipops • 5 years ago

They won't ever truly believe it.

Michael Goldman • 5 years ago

No. You are correct. They will never truly believe it.

I think they were so stung by the loss of their candidate, especially after being ASSURED she would win in a landslide, that they allowed themselves to be convinced by the unending noise coming from the 5th column media. This REALLY was a coup attempt. It's not over yet but I believe it has failed. There needs to be repercussions and consequences over the attempted theft of THIS cornbread ;)

ImperatoreFormaggio • 5 years ago

Impossible.
Matthews is never 'in his mind,' so he can't be out of it.

Cynical Optimist • 5 years ago

I recorded both networks so I can have entertainment for the next week.

I would hope that you have greater ambitions than that.

Bubba • 5 years ago

Why would one hope for anything less than the total defeat of an existential enemy? We did so with Germany and Japan, and then the USSR, and finally if we can now root out German-originated progressivism and socialism, what greater ambition is there?

peepsqueek • 5 years ago

We, as a Country wanted nothing to do with Germany and Japan, but got drawn into it, like with Afghanistan. Had Germany or Japan had developed the atomic bomb first, we would be looking at a much different picture. And don't forget it was the Russians who had the biggest impact on ending WWII. It was Russia that helped save the world from Hitler.

Don Grant • 5 years ago

Revisionist history. It wasn't the Soviets bombing Germany into rubble. It wasn't the Soviets defeating the Nazis in No. Africa and continuing on through Sicily and Italy also defeating the fascist Italians along the way. It also wasn't the Soviets landing on the beaches in Normandy and liberating France and the low-lands then pushing on to Germany itself. All of this while island hopping and having sea battles ridding the South Pacific of the Japanese army and navy. There was a concerted effort of many nations responsible for their defeat.

Just maybe if you could get yourself out of left field you could learn to love your country again.

Bubba • 5 years ago

Well said. The Soviet apologists never understand war, how it is prosecuted or anything else about the struggle between the collective and individuals. The above by peepsqueak shows this in spades, as though the Russians throwing volumes of men toward German guns and sacrificing them was somehow a greater contribution on one part of one front. Just leftist tunnel vision by someone who claims to be independent.

Don Grant • 5 years ago

Exactly. The powers to be learned during WW1 that hordes of soldiers crossing open ground didn't fare very well when machine guns were placed at strategic positions against them, yet the Russians threw human waves at them on the eastern front. But then again, just before this conflict and right afterwards Stalin had close to 20 million of his own people exterminated. It is really hard to give credit to the Russians for anything.

peepsqueek • 5 years ago

I did not try to minimize our part in WWII, but you omit far too much from the history. If you have any contradictory evidence, please post it. Wiki Encyclopedia:

The Eastern Front of World War II was a theatre of conflict between the European Axis powers and co-belligerent Finland against the Soviet Union (U.S.S.R.), Poland and other Allies, which encompassed Central Europe, Eastern Europe, Northeast Europe (Baltics), and Southeast Europe (Balkans) from 22 June 1941 to 9 May 1945. It has been known as the Great Patriotic War (Russian: Великая Отечественная война, Velikaya Otechestvennaya Voyna) in the former Soviet Union and modern Russia, while in Germany it was called the Eastern Front (German: die Ostfront),[3] or the German-Soviet War by outside parties.[4]

The battles on the Eastern Front of the Second World War constituted the largest military confrontation in history.[5] They were characterized by unprecedented ferocity, wholesale destruction, mass deportations, and immense loss of life due to combat, starvation, exposure, disease, and massacres. The Eastern Front, as the site of nearly all extermination camps, death marches, ghettos, and the majority of pogroms, was central to the Holocaust. Of the estimated 70-85 million deaths attributed to World War II, over 30 million,[6] the majority of them civilian, occurred on the Eastern Front. The Eastern Front was decisive in determining the outcome in the European theatre of operations in World War II, eventually serving as the main reason for the defeat of Nazi Germany and the Axis nations.[7][8][9]

The two principal belligerent powers were Germany and the Soviet Union, along with their respective allies. Though never engaged in military action in the Eastern Front, the United States and the United Kingdom both provided substantial material aid in the form of the Lend-Lease to the Soviet Union. The joint German–Finnish operations across the northernmost Finnish–Soviet border and in the Murmansk region are considered part of the Eastern Front. In addition, the Soviet–Finnish Continuation War may also be considered the northern flank of the Eastern Front.

Don Grant • 5 years ago

I am quite aware of the horrific battles fought and the number of losses on both sides. I was responding to your statement: "And don't forget it was the Russians who had the biggest impact on
ending WWII. It was Russia that helped save the world from Hitler." This I partially disagree with. I do agree they definitely helped.

Virtually all of Germany's main cities were reduce to rubble during the bombing by the British and Americans. This collapsed their infrastructure making it nearly impossible to continue the battles in which initially they were almost undefeatable due to their large stockpiles of war materials and manufactured goods. In addition to their own factories they also took over those in occupied territories and had forced labor available to them. In contrast, at the onset of war, allied forces including the Soviets were not very well prepared for this. Through the US lend-lease program providing materials and with the Russians moving manufacturing facilities far to the east out of the range of German bombers, they were eventually able to push the Germans westward. This was due to their huge population which could handle incredibly large amounts of casualties and more war supplies now available including many very good battle tanks.

I feel that the Russian winters and the inclusion of the United States into the fray were the deciding factors in ending World War Two and without us, chances are German would be the predominate language in Europe and Russia.

peepsqueek • 5 years ago

When the United States began flying bombing missions against Germany, it reinforced these efforts and controversial fire bombings were carried out against Hamburg civilians (1943), Dresden civilians (1945), and other German cities. Dresden was neither important to German wartime production nor a major industrial center, and before the massive air raid of February 1945 it had not suffered a major Allied attack. We did not even bomb the railway tracks leading in and out of the known concentration camps.

By April 1945, Germany faced its last days with 1.9 million German soldiers in the East fighting 6.4 million Red Army soldiers.

peepsqueek • 5 years ago

Hitler’s biggest stupidity in Russia and one of the biggest military blunders of all time, and ultimately costing the lives of 2 million Germans. Hitler was right to shoot himself in the head. Five million Germans starved to death in occupied Germany after the war, and another two million died in labor camps. Millions of Germans died as a result of ethnic cleansing carried out by, Russians, Poles, Czechs, and Serbs according to the former German Prime Minister Konrad Adenauer.

Don Grant • 5 years ago

Adenauer called it ethnic cleansing. In all reality it was retribution for the Nazi's crimes against humanity.

peepsqueek • 5 years ago

Most of those ethnic Germans were not Nazis, it was just more retribution on civilian populations, for Nazi crimes against humanity. It would be like targeting everyday Muslims for retribution against Islamic terrorists who commit acts of terrorism in the name of Islam.

Philly-Buster • 5 years ago

But it was the Russians who scarified 70 million people fighting the Nazi's!

Don Grant • 5 years ago

Yes they did. I'm sure their relatively close proximity to the German occupied territory had much to do with those unreal numbers. Fortunately we had no combat on our mainland. The Japanese knew better than to attempt that. Thank goodness they respected the power of our second amendment with "a sniper behind every blade of grass."

Philly-Buster • 5 years ago

....But Russia just tried to overturn and election.....how can they be our friends?

peepsqueek • 5 years ago

Russia was never our friend!

northernsails • 5 years ago

Actually, it was Japan on December 7 1941...and then Germany on December 11. Before those two days, WW2 might have taken a distinctly different turn and Nazi Germany might have actually succeeded. There is no way for us to know if the Soviet war machine would have pushed Hitler back without American aid.

CCBoy • 5 years ago

Russia would have been dead meat if the US & Allies did not enter the war!!
Remember the nazis were already camping outside Moscow's door-but the needed supplies and reinforcement were diverted to the North to fight the Allied Force. Thus the nazi forces were divided and caused their historical downfall and defeat!!
