Thank you Daniel for this article that reminds me the world of architecture could change if we all gather and debate between each other. Tomorrow I have an interview and while reading your article I saw myself making this following statement while talking to my potential future superiors: "overtime should be an exception and never the rule". Will I allow myself to make clear conditions that could help me to balance life and work together? Could I talk about flexible working arrangements such as working part-time? Unfortunately, most of superiors leading architecture offices have a hard time to apply the moto "work to live, don´t live to work"... We are all brainwashed since our studies and we accept too often to make sacrifices... let´s remove this wrong thinking patterns, I am happy to open the debate with you and the community of architects. I am also deeply convinced that we can improve our quality of life at work!
