"she says people always describe the smell in a similar way: Musky, reminiscent of how a beaver smells"

How many people even know what a beaver smells like? I know I don't.

So it's not just dogs that can do it - if it's strong enough, some people can do it as well. Some news items are more exciting.

I thought people with Parkinson's just didn't bathe. They always smelled bad to me too. I guess my nose knows instead.

Confirms my old suggestion that dogs should be trained and used in medical diagnosis. I wish they'd checked out cancer as well.

They do.

Hahaha. Even physicians do this.

My Grandfather had Parkinson's and a distinctive smell that as a teenager at the time I thought was due to him not bathing regularly. Now that I am over fifty I have been displaying similar characteristics seen in my grandfather and other individuals with Parkinson's. My wife claims that I have a distinctive smell, but is not sure if it musky or like a beaver. Does anyone know how to contact the people in the article so I could participate in a study?

See a movement disorder specialist, a neurologist with extra training in Parkinson's and other movement disorders. And read all you can about the oder of Parkinson's, and about how aerobic exercise can slow its progress.

I think breast cancer can be seen on the breast tests but the cost of early treatment is prohibitive. They had a suspicious area flagged on my left breast 12yrs earlier.

I have always noticed that something was wrong with me till I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease nearly 4 years ago, at 42 and i faced a different life entirely. I had a stooped posture, tremors, muscle stiffness, sleeplessness, slow movement. I was placed on Sinemet for 7 months and then Sifrol and Rotigotine was introduced which replaced the Sinemet but I had to stop due to side effects. Last year, I started on Parkinsons disease herbal treatment from Madida Herbal Clinic, this natural herbal treatment totally reversed my Parkinsons disease. Visit ww w . madidaherbalcenter. weebly . c om or email madidaherbalcenter@gmail.com. The treatment worked incredibly for my Parkinsons disease, i have a total decline in symptoms including tremors, stiffness, slow movement and others......

I have always been able to smell the skin condition impetigo...I can diagnose it ,not only if I get an outbreak of it, but when others have a breakout of it too....all physicians should be aware of this ability to sniff out specific disease and even try to hone the ability for themselves
