Until the Church makes sense, don't pay 'Peter's Pence'! Pray and do penance for the conversion of Pope Francis. Give your money to those priestly orders still willing and able to uphold authentic Faith. Oremus!

Richard Welty • 2 years ago

Sadly
Not given to this Pope’s special projects since he was “elected”, rather my contributions go to seminaries that remain true to the gospel

SILENTHAMMER • 2 years ago

God Bless You! Right on target.

Donald Nauyokas • 2 years ago

You confuse the Church with one imperfect member who is not the Church.

baldylocks723 • 2 years ago

My remark concerns Pope Francis and the things that are happening on his 'watch'. Ultimately, like the CEO of a commercial company, he has overall responsibility. The question is whether it is right to contribute financially to Rome mindful that under this pope, Pachamama, a pagan idol, was processed over the bones of St Peter and there are other issues as well! Will idol worship gain us a place in Heaven? No!

johnsillasen • 2 years ago

Then why do you insist on having leaders who are wicked???

Jennifer DeFillippo • 2 years ago

A priest of my acquaintance is, sadly, always touting Frances as some kind of saint, just because he wears the white bereta...as if everything that comes out of his mouth is Gospel truth.

I was taught as a child that the Pope speaks for God and he is infallible, when speaking ex cathedra. But as Francis has never done so, I am free in my conscience to take everything he says with a grain of salt.

Thank God for small favors......

Bergoglio is, at best, confused. With one pronouncement, is he obviating Reconciliation? Judas betrayed Jesus because -- IMO -- he wanted Jesus to be "someone else". To use his "powers" to overthrow the governments of Rome and perhaps Jerusalem. A Messiah of POWER! But he knew by this time that Jesus was not and WOULD not be this kind of messiah. He sinned gravely and KNEW what he was doing so. Anyone who receives Jesus into their mouth but does not RESPECT the Divinity of it is either ignorant, a fool or a blasphemer. Politicians, the pets of this pope, who SUPPORT the grave sins of their constituents and willfully commit them -- abortion, unjust war, sodomy, libel, calumny, bribery and murder for any reason -- is damned to Hell unless sincerely repenting and atoning. Heaven is NOT for evil people. We are taught to "hate the sin but love the sinner". But these grave sins BECOME the person if repeated and not confessed with reparation. So, Bergoglio (a false pope), are you smarter than Aquinas? Augustine? Jesus? Or just "confused"? The Laity will save the Church! Viva Christo Rei!

Jack Douglas • 2 years ago

Sorry but I disagree with you as to The Godfather being confused. What this Terrible Man is trying to do and is succeeding is confusing those Catholics who Believe that Bergoglio is a Catholic. When we know He is a Marxist at Best, who has surrounded Himself with Reprobate Homosexuals, or He is a Communist at worse ,for He is certainly not a Catholic. The Man either does not even know Basic Scripture or He is ignorant of it . Remember this is A Man who in Argentina Witnessed a Eucharistic Miracle first Hand yet does not Believe. What we know Bergoglio should have said was " The Eucharist is for Sinners who can only receive it Once and only when we are Repentent . Which involves going to The Sacrament of Reconciliation . And if One is a Public Sinner then one must Repent Publicly ". This is the Feast Day of The Birth of St John the Baptist. He would have thrown Bergoglio and his Bunch of Effeminate Reprobate Homosexual Staff out into the Streets. We have had Bad Popes before but at least they were Bad Catholic Popes. Bergoglio to me is just a Bad Man. As for Peter's Pence I wouldn't give it a Half Pence.

I agree. he is one of those who followed Castro in South America in the 60's and 70's. Castro wanted to destroy the CHURCH and the Americas. he was a loyal commie and established liberal dogmas corrupting the TRUTH. we also know that the commies also wanted to destroy the priesthood after a woman come to Arch Bishop Sheen and asked to become a Catholic and that she needed to repeat. she told him that one of the ways the communist started to destroy the Church was to bring in active homosexuals into the seminaries. that they will go higher up into the ranks and the communist party and the left will be able to control the Church than.

Isnt every sin "deliberate"?

fran • 2 years ago

Jesus referred to the "unpardonable sin" against the Holy Spirit (Mark 3: 28-29; Luke 12:10), which is truly not the "worst sin" or anything of the kind. It is the sin of completely turning one's back on what one KNOWS to be the truth, but which one openly ridicules ("blasphemes") in order to gain favor with men. Many Demon-crats say "black is white" or "up is down" in an open attempt to assert superiority over God, His Word and His Will. Jesus knew that the hearts of people -- especially those in leadership of the Church -- who turn their back on what is clearly the leading of the Holy Spirit are already headed for an eternity of regret. It's not that GOD condemns them; they condemn themselves.

If it's the Bread of Sinners, then Biden and Pelosi are in the right state of non grace

That’s what all this is about, I’m afraid.

Wow! Is he full of himself or what?! He has changed nothing as to the meaning of the Eucharist. He has just moved himself a little closer to the incinerator door.

3indigo13 • 2 years ago

I no longer give to the Church. Instead I give directly to good, holy priests who are true followers of Our Lord.
No more money to Bishops or the Bishops conference.

Wolemai • 2 years ago

Please Pope Francis, stop changing the ancient words of texts to support some supposedly "merciful" idea of God. STOP CHANGING THINGS! You seem to have NO respect at all for the Traditions of the Faith, Traditions that are revealed to us over the last 2000 years by God and preserved by the Church - UNTIL NOW, when a Pope decides to start changing them because he thinks he knows better.

DonnaLiane • 2 years ago

He hasn't changed them because he cannot. He has not the power. He has ministerium, not munus. Pope Benedict retains the munus.

This is a well-researched and ecclesial rendition of matters concerning the Holy Eucharist, with the associated Sacrament of Penance. I really learned a lot from the write-up. Regarding the dubia in question, I think that the questions raised in it would require serious pondering before coming up with answers to them. Five years of silence does not mean those responsible for addressing the questions are just sitting on their hands. They must have to be sure of the theological and doctrinal matters they raise before coming up with answers.

This reminds one of the Doctors of the Church with the amount of reasoning they had employed in providing their various Magnum Opus we read till this day! I doff my hat for them!

MoriaThornycroft • 2 years ago

Well...maybe its OK for those pro-abortion politicians to take "the bread of sinners". Although its so judgmental to allow it on that basis. I can't imagine that Pelosi would feel comfortable taking communion if there was a presumption that she was a "sinner".

Dtubs69 • 2 years ago

i cant imagine anyone on the liberal left taking communion, talking about sacrilegious!!!

Tony Allen • 2 years ago

Wow, to be so great like the Lord himself must feel great. I too loathe many things about the left, but I also realize we ALL are or were sinners. Satan himself is more powerful now than ever, please dont allow yourself to hate. Thats is playing right into Satan's wishes, pray to our Lord to give us Wisdom

ajfontaine • 2 years ago

What Pope Francis left out is that the Eucharist is for REPENTANT sinners. Biden, Pelosi, et al., don't fit the bill since they actively promote abortion. So they are UNrepentant sinners and should not be receiving Our Lord in Holy Communion unless they repent of their flouting of Catholic doctrine and teaching.

Dtubs69 • 2 years ago

I'm not like the lord and never said I was - the left is full of hate and promote abortion among many other things - abortion and homosexuality is not okay and is not acceptable they are not living according to basic christian principles and I do pray for everyone mr know it all

ajfontaine • 2 years ago

A large part of the problem is that they really don't understand what the Eucharist is (and Pope Francis isn't helping by confusing the issue as he has). When Nancy Pelosi's granddaughter was about to receive her first Holy Communion, Pelosi said something about it being a "symbol" of Christ's presence - her granddaughter had to correct her! So If she thinks it's just a symbol, I guess she figures it's no big deal to receive it in a state of sin?

ajfontaine • 2 years ago

Pelosi, Biden and all the other "Catholic" pro-abortion politicians rationalize their support for abortion by claiming that it's "health care," but they must know that they are totally flouting the Church's teachings. Hence the dodging and misdirection when anyone questions them on the subject.

fran • 2 years ago

Oh...THEY know! Just like the Temple leaders who deliberately rejected the Messiah because He "threatened" their temporal power, so these so-called Catholics are taking Communion for SHOW!

ajfontaine • 2 years ago

I agree - the "religion" of Biden & Co. is a pose. They present themselves to the public as "devout Catholics" and hope that people will be duped into thinking they're actually Catholics. They need to read the Gospel passages (e.g. Matthew 23 and Luke 11:39-42) where Jesus denounces the Pharisees for doing that. He says, "Woe to you!" - and that's what will happen to them unless they repent.

Pecci • 2 years ago

Since pro-abort/politicians have been in the headlines lately, it almost seems as though the pontiff stated this in order to excuse Biden, Pelosi & the rest of those ahem ... "holy" Catholic sinners.

Walkin O'Shea • 2 years ago

Frankie is not fit to be our Pope.

Dtubs69 • 1 year ago

He is an anti-pope, proof is easy to see, right off the top he invited and allowed heresy inside the Vatican. That is a basic 10 commandment isnt it? SHall not honor false Gods nor put them before our Savior Jesus Christ

Walkin O'Shea • 1 year ago

You got it Tim, that's the big Number 1!

Joan Kennedy • 2 years ago

I am ashamed of the bishops who are so cowardly that they cannot force themselves to say outright that so called Catholic politicians should be denied the Sacrament of the Eucharist for their stance and condoning of abortion. How can they justify this and at the same time refuse the sacraments to divorced Catholics who have remarried? At least the divorced/remarried Catholic isn't killing babies!!! The bishops need to get down on their knees and ask Gods. forgiveness.

DonnaLiane • 2 years ago

Actually the divorced and re-married sadly often do also kill babies. Not all, but many I know when put to the test, admit to many things. Firstly, they believe in and regularly practice using contraception (often containing abortifacients) so they may have personally killed many babies (conceived but prevented from flourishing). They also directly support abortion, albeit reluctantly, when their lifestyle, of that of their children, results in an inconvenient extra-marital pregnancy. What they don't support is a turning away from sin completely- even at great personal cost.

Joan Kennedy • 2 years ago

I know several divorced/remarried Catholics. Except for remarrying they follow the rules of the Catholic Church. They have children and a lot of them are sent to Catholic schools. I know that we can't pick and choose the rules to obey but if the bishops choose to ignore politicians because of their status, aren't they picking and choosing?

johnsillasen • 2 years ago

How long has the top of the Catholic hierarchy been preaching/teaching that the faithful are sinners ... not repented sinners or penitents who've turned away from sin, but simply sinners???
How demonic the deception!!!
Would it be that the hierarchy does not want the faithful to unite with God through Jesus Christ???

Repent and Believe • 2 years ago

Bergoglio is the “King of the Canard.” All of his catchy sayings can be understood from an orthodox perspective, but are clearly intended to be heterodox. Sure, the shepherd should smell like his sheep, but he should be washing his sheep so that they do not reek. Man can be a sinner in two senses: 1. Man, after Baptism, is capable of sinning, as only the fault, but not the effects of original sin are ever remitted. In this sense, the Eucharist is for sinners, but not only for sinners, as Tradition holds that Mary received the Eucharist, and she was impeccable. 2. A man, in a state of unrepentant sin is a sinner. He is an active sinner, and he is said to be “Dead in sin.” One who is dead in sin can be baptized, if not already, and can be absolved if God brings him to repentance. He brings Judgment upon himself if he receives any of the “Sacraments of the living,” especially Holy Communion. Bergoglio intentionally obfuscates, knowing that today’s Catholics are so malformed that most won’t be able to tell the difference between the Truth, and his lies.

Jason Bernard • 2 years ago

I think he has the disease called "vainglory"... Some of his words have suggested that he thinks he is somehow different from other popes; like he has a special mission to lead the church into the kingdom or something.

But, IMO this is, like I said, vainglory; I think he was bad when he was merely a bishop, but the influence of Rome has made his spiritual ailment more dire; I place a great deal of blame on the Papal Preacher, Fr. Cantalamessa. JPII installed him in the post in imitation of the saints who said that a wicked superior helps one to increase in holiness. But what sanctifies the holy corrupts those who are corrupt.

That man (the papal preacher) is a charismatic who re-creates theology by pulling new ideas out of his own navel, while contradicting all the saints all the way to Jesus himself. He also thinks himself to be a prophet and utters all kinds of nonsense; the kind of nonsense that a mistrained Catholic like Francesco would probably eat up like candy.

John D • 2 years ago

The ALL TOO SUBTLE APPROACH is now clear:
By calling Democrats "Sinners" it means less obstruction to their receiving Holy Communion, as Pro-abortion individuals, such as Joe Biden, openly pro abortion.
Archbishop Cordeleone heroically points out inconsistencies, and was the first American Archbishop to supply a correction that Nancy Pelosi needed, who was setting herself up as the role model on the subject of abortion- in effect legitimising abortion in the Catholic church, which is evil.
By losing out on the subject of immigration Pope Francis would lose face- and that is now clearer than ever with Denmark (Lutheran), Austria and Hungary (both Catholic), who are a wake-up to the rise in crime levels in the EU, and particularly their own countries- Sweden is called the "rape capital of the world".
ALSO it needs to be stated loud and clear, that Orthodoxy in Catholicism is NOT self-righteousness. Orthodoxy is an essential part of the prophetic ministry of the Catholic church.
CONSCIENCE is a right, not a privilege.
Rome needs to reflect on that bit.

DonnaLiane • 2 years ago

A conscience must be formed and founded on God's Ways, not personal inclination or 'that suits me/us better' beliefs.

Some relevant references:

1 Corinthians 10 and 11 - two chapters
Galatians 1:6-9
2 Thessalonians 2 - the whole chapter.

A dog or a pig, that is, as Jesus likens the human person who intentionally rejects Him, His teaching, has no claim to enter Heaven, and, as a priest pointed out, such were refused physical entry into the Church in times past. It's still the rule in St. Peter's Basilica, a rigid rule perhaps, but a rule nevertheless, pigs or dogs don't get to enter at will.

Sue Sanchis • 2 years ago

only pay money to keep your church repaired and running. do not give to the Bishops or the Vatican. most of these people need to be sent back to live in poverty since they seem to be taken up with all the junk that surrounds them and they seem to bow to the earthly governments and their gods and have forgotten they are servants of Christ and HIS People. also the majority of these fools seem to be gay and in the chains of the sin lust. I hope they awoken before time. I also see that the Holy Spirit wanted us to see the evil state that modern man has brought HIS CHURCH when Benedict was force down and this Castro commie pagan was voted in to the seat. I do not listen to anything frankie says and I view him as a false prophet and demon possessed. look at that picture were the serpent was a mist around his head at that mass and than enter his body. it is like when Hugo Chevez became no more use to the demons and they left him. in a picture before he died and was speaking. a mist of the devil left his body

Donald Nauyokas • 2 years ago

Is Pope Francis any different than those who had Jesus put to death that Jesus asked the Father to forgive for they didn't know what they were doing? Lord have mercy!

Jason Bernard • 2 years ago

We all share that guilt. I think, however, that Francis does not understand that God's mercy is aimed at bringing man to repentance;
Judas is not an example to follow, but a human demon, a warning of what we will become if we imitate his demonic example.
God's mercy is infinite but it will not save us if we do not accept it.
