Fred,

Pelosi, Omar, Hayes, and Ocasio-Cortez on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. March 2019. No sign of Hillary Clinton.

That line up will be unlikely to convert many 2016-era Trump voters to the 'progressive' cause. It may well, however, bring out newly arisen 'progressive' voters from the ranks of previous non-voters who could not bring themselves to vote for dear Hillary.

The Dems would appear to be trying to get over the line in 2020 by replicating their recent H of R victory.

Ah, Haven Monahan's sorority sisters!

Really enjoying the publicity that tiny Somali girl is collecting exposing AIPAC's influence on government.

The chorus of condemnation is just another indication of the level of entrenchment of the Zionist lobby. It's amusing to see even Democrats contorting in their dogma, but it seems that in the end fealty to Israel supersedes the trendy, minority female candidates of the Islamic persuasion.

Congresswoman Omar is an American citizen. Representatives Omar, Tlaib and Cortez are three horsewoman of the D'apocalypse. Apparently Hilary has been put out to pasutre.

Dear Colonel, I find it hard to believe Pelosi / Schiff do not know what you have (many times) stated about classification. So clearly they are just trying to get media attention. W.R.T. the next election - I fail to see how this will change swing voters.

With respect to the Hanoi lack of a deal, there is some reporting that Bolton sabotaged it by coming into the room at the last minute and adding criteria...

from:

https://twitter.com/DrKevin...

"Former SK unification minister Chong Se-hyun suggests that summit was derailed by last minute attendance of Bolton, who added demands for NK to also report chemical/biological weapons, in response to which NKs increased their demand for sanctions relief https://t.co/d7IbkNtqxi (In Korean)

Kevin Gray seems knowlegable

I checked - Bolton was in Hanoi.

If confirmed, the message would be that Trump is not controlling his foreign policy.

Further confirmation

https://original.antiwar.co...

Suggests that Bolton was a sudden addition to the meeting and added the unexpected extra agreement item.

Perhaps Bolton was told to sabotage the negotiations. But why when reports are that both sides had reached an agreement and campaigning for 2020 starts soon?

I do wonder again and again why Bolton has a job. Perhaps he know where the NYC real estate bodies are buried?

PRC90 • 5 years ago

I suggest that would have been a gift to Trump, who would have fired Bolton on the spot in front of Kim and the DPRK delegation. The only risk to Trump would have been the North Koreans perceiving it as street theater put on for their benefit.

Pat Lang • 5 years ago

If that is so, and Trump did not know of it in advance, then Bolton should be dismissed.

william mcdonald • 5 years ago

Could it be possible that Trump may have decided to nix a deal just to shake up things? He is a master at doing the unexpected and getting into the heads of the opposition.

Eugene Owens • 5 years ago

Good riddance to Bibi.

Unfortunately he just may pull it out and win the election anyway. There are millions of Israelis that believe he has a 'special' relationship with both the White House and with the senior Democratic Senator from New York. Let's hope that does not rescue him from doing a perp walk.

"Therefore, the president can grant access to US classified information to anyone he thinks should have it."

This is a non sequitur. The issue is whether Trump is unique among Presidents in disregarding the recommendation of his intelligence advisors concerning top secret clearance for Kushner. Which he is.

william mcdonald • 5 years ago

So what if he is? What the heck have the intelligence chiefs done to garner any esteem from the citizenry in the last few years? Running a coup attempt against the president doesn't quite fit the bill.

Fred • 5 years ago

So now we need political commissars to tell the president what to do? I believe they are in Congress chairing various investigatory committees.

Pat Lang • 5 years ago

Trump would have done nothing illegal or outside his power to grant access. This would in no way be unique. You have a high regard for the "intelligence chiefs? I have seen powerful men order that access be given to people who the polygraphers and counter-intelligence people said should not be given access. Why did they do that? In any event the person was needed. that was not illegal either.

A suggestion: establish, and use, a category for Donald Trump (or however you want to identify him).

Pat Lang • 5 years ago

I don't want SST to become a focal point for yet more hostility to Trump.
