Thanks for the great article. I had that same dilemma 5 years ago. I finally ended up on buying the Korg Kronos (73 weight ed key) which I also connect a Roland A49 midi controller which I use to trigger other sounds on my Kronos on different midi channels. Cables: Analysis Plus Yellow oval cables and Rupert Neve RNDI (DI boxes). I find Korg keyboards to be very easy to use and very stable. I design my own patches and combi’s for our Worship sets. You can add to the already great sounds by buying additional sound libraries from various sound designers on the Korg website. The thing I love the most about my Kronos is the Set List on the big touch screen of the Kronos with a single touch on the screen you can change from a combi of layered/split patches to a full sequenced song. I find the Kronos setup works well for me. I also do own Omnisphere and Cubase (DAW) which I love using at home. Software Synth set ups have their advantages too which I can see why lots of people go that route. But for me the Korg Kronos was best for me and it sounds great.
