I normally respect JJ's reviews as insightful and carefully tested/verified, but this one is hard to swallow. In my 40+ years of listening I've heard some exotic speaker cable obliterate the high end of recordings but I've never heard a wire make anything better. In this review it was stated that recording engineers used $20 cables to master these recordings but adding $3000 cables to your system,on the back end, will reveal so much more. This seems counter intuitive in that the cables will reveal something that was put there by much lesser cables. My other problem is the absolute absurdity of $3000 for a meter of wire however it's constructed.
Maybe, since I'm older now, I can't hear as well. Lucky me. I just saved $3000.

The Wireworld cables let me hear more of what was on the recording. If the recording engineers used the standard Pro cables, then the recording itself was not as good as it could have been. All I am saying is that whatever was recorded with whatever cables they used, I heard more of it with the high end cables. It's very subtle. I have written other cable reviews where I said I could not hear any difference. You won't find that kind of cable review elsewhere. They usually say that the cables make a huge difference. That is why the subject of high end cables is such a contentious issue. I am the only one, in any A/V publication, who actually bench tests cables, and the differences are there, so there is an effect on the sound. It's a matter of discovering what the difference is, and I still can't define it clearly.

I agree with you RA, the assertion that $3k/m cables are worth it is pretty hard to swallow. I almost find it hard to believe this was written by JJ. "If you're middle age, you can probably afford" to spend thousands on cables? Possibly, but I think it would be stupid to do so.

Thanks for this test and honest review with facts. I do believe cables can affect the sound and have witness tests years ago proving this. However some ...most it seems...of these cables are so expensive only 1% of the hobbyists can afford them. What would be really cool is a cable shoot out to find the best bang for the buck cable of interconnects and speaker cables.
