Are not many kept alive by routine medication, dialysis, etc.? Are there not people with heart pumps? Is it too much trouble to keep someone alive with a ventilator ?

I agree with you Pamino, the queen of england should have in good conscience intervened to prevent this tragic murder, i call it murder because of the method they used to ensure this child died according to their diagnosis, even though it took him about a week and not a few hours to die.

Alfie Evans is a martyr now and no one can take that away not even Great Britain and the hospital he was at. We need to proclaim that very loudly to the world and not stop.

It is not surprising that Baby Alfie, who required some extraordinary means to survive, was given no mercy by the courts, or by the hospital attending him, in a socialized medical setting. If little perfect unborn innocents are denied a Right to Life, because they're deemed an inconvenience, then how much more will these babies who are born with disabilities, be given the death sentence, because they too are considered an inconvenience and a medical expense.
When Abortion was made Legal by the Courts, who placed themselves ABOVE the NATURAL LAWS OF GOD, all Hell broke loose, and has been sliding at 1000 miles an hour ever since.
Life is Precious in all stages of human development, as well as at the end of human life. The unborn, the handicapped, the disabled, the elderly, the deaf, dumb, and blind, can all have meaning and a place in people's lives, and contribute to our world, in their unique role of Life. Hitler obviously still lives in the minds of these socialists who have made themselves gods in their own rite...death is now the new culture of the Luciferians who control socialistic ideologies.

I completely agree with you, but one thing these doctors responsible for his death forget is the first part of the Hypocratic Oath that is " First do no harm ". What they did was withdraw the ventilator and if that wasn't enough, they withdrew food and oxygen from him, in fact Alfie was going to live, but to call a spade a spade, they in actual fact murdered that child.

Alfie has taught us all to pray like there's no tomorrow during those last few days of his short life. Let's not lose that impetus. Keep hammering away at our rosaries.

I don't expect Tom Evans would read this, but if he did, thank you for sharing Alfie with us. We've come to love him so much. It seems as if the whole world is mourning with you and Kate.

Actually Pope Francis has cholces, always. He could simply say nothing which would be perfectly acceptable - he is never obliged to speak after meeting with anyone in private. Our dear popes in the past did not make statements on every and all topics that came and went.

The other choice is to make a firm, clear, Catholic statement about the LIFE of the child - Who gave that life and Who takes it away, the RIGHTS of the parents over the rights of anyone else (barring any abuse of the parents).

When any politician's picture could be placed over Francis' statement and have it sound perfectly correct and reasonable we know we're in big trouble. Isn't he supposed to say something DIFFERENT from all those blabbermouths in the world?

As for the so-controversial references to the Nazis - if it walks like a Nazi, talks like a Nazi, and kills innocent people like a Nazi - it's a Nazi.

Rory, while you may be right in what you say, Hitler used the method these so-called medical professionals decided to proceed with in order to ensure Afie's death, also the fact that they were incorrect in saying the child would die within a few hours but in spite of them he lived around a week until they decided he should die by withdrawing his oxygen and food, as well as removing the ventilator at an earlier stage. It was not the childs fault he developed brain damage from the multi-vaccination he was given. How many more children have developed such an illness as result of vaccines which contain to much thimerosol ? To those who are unaware thimerosol is an organic form of the heavy metal Mercury, too much of which is poisonous to the human body. You, Rory as a decent and compassionate medical professional will understand what i mean when i speak of thimerosol and the excessive amounts contained in vaccines given to children of such a young age. I would speculate that those at the hospital in question had their pride hurt because Alfie did not die on cue as per their suggested timespan.
