batman's moments with kids are always so awesome and beautiful .

Oh, I love this. Just a pure Batman story done as a one-shot. As much as I appreciate the more complex and drama-driven stories involving the whole Bat-Family, this is what defines the character for me.

this was dark, disturbing intelligent and even though the mindscape was strange it was not confusing. And then it turned into saccharine sweet feel good. And once again they shove Duke there for no reason and leave Cassandra nowhere to be seen. That is what stopped me from enjoying this. Seriously, she is overlooked for no reason and he is promoted for no reason. He did little of consequence since Robin War, but is everywhere. And Tim is not there either. Neither is Jason.

Then it returned to being awesome character piece. I especially liked that his children were what snapped Bruce to his senses, but they are not always happy with him. Could be better if they encouraged him while pointing out his flaws as he admits them later on.

I like the atmospheric art for characters, but the city in that ending picture deserved better.

There was a two-part story about Batman solving a case surrounding children being trafficked, all without dialogue. It was one of the greatest stories I've read, imo.

Ok but legit a few months ago on tumblr I proposed a scenario where a villain uses some kind of mind control/illusion to make him feel lost and alone, and out of nowhere illusions of the batfamily come out and save him. It's positively beautiful to see that be canon!

Dude, I used to write fan fics on Marvel's website when I was in middle school. The last one I did was for a story called "Spider Nation," in which various Spider-Men & Spider-Women from different universes traveled to the Ultimate Universe and helped Miles fight Green Goblins from different universes. Never finished it, but about a year or two later Marvel launched "Spider-Men" and then a few years after that "Spider-Verse." I swear these companies lurk these forums. Not mad at all about any of it, but like damn lmao

This issue brought me a lot of nostalgia of the 90ties Batman stories, not just because of Blackfire but also because of the storytelling and art choice. It was nice. A good start for Moreci.

That was pleasant. A clean 1-shot. Very rare.

They do get money though. A ridiculous amount of money gets put into a trust for each of them, and literally anything they want gets paid for. How do you think they can all afford such nice places when none of them actually have day jobs? Also, don't look at it as running around with psychopaths and being routinely traumatized. Look at is as 'character building exercises'. Much more positive that way.

This really reminded me of "batman county line" by Steve Niles. Such a difficult balance between logical batman vs paranormal criminals.

This was great one-off story I really like dhow it showed Batman persevering even in the face of all these odds.

Good way to bring back one of the other characters that broke the Bat.
