"I've consistently condemned the use of violent rhetoric in politics on both sides"

When was the last time a Democrat used violent rhetoric? I'll wait.

Progressive Minded • 3 years ago

'What were they thinking?'

Yep, that's the strongest you are going to get from Pelosi.

mikevietvet68/69 • 3 years ago

That is horseshit
Bigger news is the Irish asshole mccarthy met with his idol Trump today in the new bunker WTF.

billos52 • 3 years ago

The Dems have rolled over and played dead for 5 years now. If this isn't stopped now the tentacles of Q will continue to surround us from within our own government. Damn!

Keithish • 3 years ago

Mark Bednar, a spokesman for House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, said Greene's comments "are deeply disturbing, and Leader McCarthy plans to have a conversation with the Congresswoman about them."
It will go something like this:

Marjorie. What do you think about running for president? I bet your ass tastes much better then tRumps.

ruralhobo • 3 years ago

What they were thinking was that anyone within the GOP who crosses the Trump faithful won't be able to get life insurance anywhere.

Xian • 3 years ago

I'll tell you what they were thinking. They were thinking that there are no consequences for their actions and their faux news brainwashed death cult base loves it... in spite of strongly worded rebukes from Dems.

roger rabbit • 3 years ago

What were they thinking? What are YOU thinking, Madam Speaker? This is the emerging normal GOP! Get ready for the invasion of the insane and those driven by toxic ambition.

cwazycajun • 3 years ago

Well how about that their using the both sides bullshit..really..?? Maybe they would be outraged if she had put Dijon mustard on a burger.. I'm also getting a deep Susan Collins level of concern coming off them...no I think I'm wrong about that what Is coming of of them is extreme cowardice..

Jean • 3 years ago

Don't allow Green to be seated on any committee. Stephen King was taken off of his committee so we know it can be done. Let her be a waste of a congressional seat for the republicans.

jw • 3 years ago

House GOP Whip Steve Scalise told CNN. "There is no place for comments like that in our political discourse."

Well, apparently, there IS a place for comments like that - the House Education and Labor Committee.

LaProgressive • 3 years ago

They only have two policies; tax cuts for the wealthy, owning the libs. They've go nothing else.

TheMountainGirl • 3 years ago

McCarthy’s going “to talk to her?” Oh my goodness gracious. That should make everything all hunky-dory. I’m sure Marge will straighten up and fly right after that white trash in a suit tells her to keep her murderous comments on the down-low.
JFC.

lanthanos • 3 years ago

He is NOT going to talk to her if he hasn't already. I call bullshit. My question is why hasn't Pelosi done anything about her. She supposed to have all this power. So why doesn't she do something with it.

FormerFed • 3 years ago

Oh Nancy, get a grip! You ask "what could they be thinking?" Seriously? I'll spell it out for you...S-A-B-O-T-A-G-E. The Republican party has declared war, not just on Democrats, but democracy as well. They're loyalty is to their Orange Fuhrer, not the Constitution of the United States, not "We the People", (unless you mean the 1%), and certainly not the rule of law. Time to take the gloves off and forget about fair play, with those seditious domestic terrorist know as the GOP, because the only dirty fight, is the fight you lose.

mojorising • 3 years ago

the rethuglikkklan party sold their soul to the tea billies that have morphed into the Q and now are on the road to perdition. Now they have thugs running the party. Now that we the voters have cut off the head of their snake, the poison head remains on the floor ready to rejoin it's body. We must never allow that to happen.

Dan Mc • 3 years ago

Putting MJT on the education committee is like putting Giorgio Tsoukalos on the science committee.

Feel free to google if you don't know who Giorgio is.

PM11 • 3 years ago

To be fair, ancient aliens are a much safer bet than anything that comes from a Qturd.

Setward • 3 years ago
Alvin Miller • 3 years ago

What were republicans thinking? Owning the libs of course. That's all the republican party is now, a party of trolls. What better way to troll democrats, then put a conspiracy nut on the education committee? So republican leadership is trolling Pelosi. That's what they are doing.

Aghast • 3 years ago

Sounds to me like McCarthy is flipping us all the bird. That, or he really is an idiot.

Alvin Miller • 3 years ago

He's giving Pelosi and all house democrats the bird.

lanthanos • 3 years ago

PELOSI NEEDS TO HIT BACK HARD!

Durwood • 3 years ago

While I can understand Pelosi's outrage, she shouldn't be too surprised because it's just more of the same shit we've had from the GOP all along. The same as the Ed secretary who never even set foot in a public school prior to her appointment. I hate to tell people this but Trump did not have the market on stupidity in the GOP because they were that way many years before him and they'll be that way as long as they exist.

Woke AF • 3 years ago

The GOP has been entirely consumed by QAnon now and there's no way out for them.

bluepeng • 3 years ago

This train hasn't even begun to go off the rails. The GOP is re-congealing into something worse -- yes, it is possible

Alvin Miller • 3 years ago

Yes become a fascist party right before our eyes.

UpstateNYObserver • 3 years ago

The increasingly visible members of the progressive wing of the Democratic party are matched with the increasingly reactionary and downright crazy members of the Q caucus and conspiracy theory driven idiots.

Durwood • 3 years ago

As if the Tea Party wasn't bad enough. To make it worse, "Q" is the stupidest conspiracy theory I've heard to date, which is saying something given the times that we live in.

RecreationalPilot • 3 years ago

It's all about STICKING IT TO THE LIBS nothing more.

January2009 • 3 years ago

Susan Collins released a statement saying “If I was a member of the House, I’d be ‘concerned’.”

Dav412 • 3 years ago

it is more than obvious Greene lacks any critical reasoning skills, yet the GOP puts her on the education board. Tells you everything you need to know about the GOP.

John Danielski • 3 years ago

McCarthy's talk with Greene will likely result in the severe penalty of her being sent to bed without her supper.

January2009 • 3 years ago

Being sent to bed without being allowed to kill her supper.

lanthanos • 3 years ago

Aw poor thing! And she so loves to kill things.

Still Blue (Resist!) • 3 years ago

I imagine in her conversation with McCarthy he'll tell her to revert to dog whistles rather than bullhorns.

NazzTea • 3 years ago

Don't say "kill", rather say, "incapacitate".
I'm sure they have an approved list somewhere.

NazzTea • 3 years ago

Marjorie Taylor Greene should be assigned a tiny chair in the Congressional washrooms to hand out soaps.

NancyBJQueenRaygun • 3 years ago

This may be unpopular, but Scalise's would be assassin needed better precision and accuracy.

Stardust Asterisk • 3 years ago

"What were they thinking?".

"Space lasers", obviously.

MamaMacaroni • 3 years ago

You mean they weren’t started because they didn’t rake the forest floor? Gee, who knew? /s just in case.

Analisa Elena • 3 years ago

Ooooohhhhhhhh!!! Kevin McCarthy, the staunch “Trumplican” who has spread the very lies that fueled the deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol and has repeatedly enabled the fat orange baby’s worst and most destructive acts, is going to have a conversation with Greene!

If she isn’t censured, brought up on ethics charges and indicted for conspiracy to commit insurrection, then BFD! All a so-called “conversation” with the window licking moron will do is further perpetuate the Republican party’s slide into the sewer!!!

LhBerguy • 3 years ago

What they were thinking is that they can do whatever evil they can conceive and never suffer worse than a stink-eye look.

David Andrews • 3 years ago

Well, of course you appoint the school-massacre denier to an Education committee. Nothing like rubbing 40 parents' noses in it 9 years later. Too bad Alex Jones isn't available for the information committee. Or is he?

Cereal Killer • 3 years ago

There are still powerful forces at work behind the scenes.....that RS article yesterday about the Mercer family backing the Republican terrorists was quite revealing... There are also Republican think tanks advising McConnell, Cruz and others who they should back within in the GOP..... Marjorie Green for example....

Trump mega-donor Rebekah Mercer warned of 'armed conflict' before funding Capitol rioters: report

Californian Dreamer • 3 years ago

Pelosi needs to expel her

MamaMacaroni • 3 years ago

She can’t do it alone. She needs 2/3 of the House to vote with her.

Californian Dreamer • 3 years ago

She needs to have public hearings after impeachment is over. It might not be an issue with Boebert because I think she is going to get criminal sedition charges against her

MamaMacaroni • 3 years ago

There probably have to be hearings before a vote, but I’m not exactly positive. And I sure hope you’re right about Boebert. She needs to be gone also. Then we can do Cawthorne.

TheLeftist-Vermin • 3 years ago

Oh great McCarthy is going to mansplain sum things to that fukn dolt head lol good luck with that.
